Chuck Schumer: US Senator from AIPAC

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

Undemocratic Dem Senate Minority leader Schumer resembles Hillary and Nikki Haley with a gender difference – a deplorable figure, supporting US and Israeli high crimes.

He shamefully blamed Palestinians for failure to achieve peace with Israel. It’s got nothing to do with (stolen land for) settlements, he roared, nothing to do with borders, he added.

Israel never declared them to steal more land, expanding its territory, including from neighboring countries, he failed to explain.

He turned truth on its head blaming Arafat for refusing to accept Ehud Barak’s so-called “generous…unprecedented”
Camp David 2000 offer – a “final agreement” to declare “end of conflict,” relinquishing further legal claims to more land in the Territories.

He lied claiming Barak made “huge territorial concessions.” He tried scamming Palestinians, made no offer in writing, no maps or documents presented.

He proposed isolated Palestinian cantons surrounded by encroaching Israeli settlements – a duplicitous scheme no responsible leader would accept.

Agreeing would have dashed any hope for peace one day, handing over what remained of historic Palestine to Israel.

Arafat refused and was wrongfully blamed, again by Schumer at AIPAC, his address an abomination, a disgraceful example of one-sided support for Israel, disdainful of Palestinian rights.

Schumer: “(L)et me tell you…why we don’t have peace. Because the fact of the matter is that too many Palestinians and too many Arabs do not want any Jewish state in the Middle East” – a despicable perversion of truth, adding:

“(T)he Torah says (historic Palestine is) our land…but they don’t believe in the Torah. So that’s the reason there is not peace” – shocking stuff, racist and disgusting.

He continued saying too many younger generation Jews in America and elsewhere “don’t share…devotion to Israel” – plenty of older generation ones, too, in Western and other countries, anti-Israeli sentiment growing worldwide for good reason.

Increasing numbers understand enough about Israeli ruthlessness to reject it. They support Palestinian rights, oppose state terror harming them grievously.

Schumer’s outrageous remarks outdid Netanyahu, Nikki Haley, Mike Pence and others – racist hate speech, embarrassing himself and attendees hearing it.

AIPAC conferences are Israel lovefests, shameful affairs.

No one says anything about occupation harshness, vicious Israeli persecution of Palestinians, its naked aggression against Gaza and Syria, its partnership with Washington for regional dominance.

The gatherings are all about pledging fealty to Ziofascist fundamentalism, pretending Israel is democratic.

Never from inception, for sure not now under Netanyahu and other regime extremists.
