McMurtry is Professor Emeritus of the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He’s a moral philosopher, ethicist, and vocal activist for global justice, world peace, and international law. His books include Unequal Freedoms, The Cancer Stage of Capitalism, and Value Wars.

Discussion will focus on the civil commons “life economy” alternative – a consistent theme in his writing, including in his book Value Wars: The Global Market Versus the Life Economy.

Saturday, April 24 at noon US Central time: Jack Rasmus

Rasmus is a Professor of Political Economy at St. Mary’s College and Santa Clara University, CA. He’s also a freelance journalist, frequent speaker, a playwright and author, including his newest book out in May titled, Epic Recession and Financial Crisis: Prelude to Global Depression.

Rasmus’ book and economic outlook will be discussed.

Sunday, April 25 at noon US Central time: Michael Parenti

Parenti is an internationally known, highly respected political scientist and award-winning author and lecturer. His many books include Democracy for the Few in its 9th edition, Superpatriotism, Inventing Reality on the state of the media, and his newest work, God and His Demons, to be discussed on the program.

Stephen Lendman was born in 1934 in Boston, MA. In 1956, he received a BA from Harvard University. Two years of US Army service followed, then an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1960. After working seven years as a marketing research analyst, he joined the Lendman Group family business in 1967. He remained there until retiring at year end 1999. Writing on major world and national issues began in summer 2005. In early 2007, radio hosting followed. Lendman now hosts the Progressive Radio News Hour on the Progressive Radio Network three times weekly. Distinguished guests are featured. Listen live or archived. Major world and national issues are discussed. Lendman is a 2008 Project Censored winner and 2011 Mexican Journalists Club international journalism award recipient.
