Thursday, May 5 at 10AM US Central time: Rachael Rudolph

Rudolph is a distinguished scholar on resistance strategies, especially Islamic movements in Algeria, Palestine, and the Philippines.

Her books include “Terrorism and Politics;” “Mobilizing Movements, Mobilizing Contemporary Islamic Resistance;” and “Saudi Arabia’s War on Terrorism.”

Middle East uprisings will be discussed.

Saturday, May 7 at noon US Central time: Kathy Kelly

Kelly is a long-time political/social/anti-war activist and coordinator of Voices for Creative Nonviolence (VCNV). In 1996, she helped establish Voices in the Wilderness to end Washington’s repressive Iraq sanctions.

VCNV is a heroic resistance campaign against imperial wars, violence, and the “war on terror,” abroad and at home.

Kelly was recently in Afghanistan. Discussion will focus on her trip.

Sunday, May 8 at noon US Central time: Michael Parenti

Parenti is an internationally known political scientist and award-winning author and lecturer. He’s also one of the nation’s leading progressive political analysts, social critics, and anti-war activists.

His many book include “Democracy for the Few”, “Superpatriotism”, “Inventing Reality” on the state of the media, and his newest titled, “The Face of Imperialism.”

Parenti’s new book will be discussed.

Stephen Lendman was born in 1934 in Boston, MA. In 1956, he received a BA from Harvard University. Two years of US Army service followed, then an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1960. After working seven years as a marketing research analyst, he joined the Lendman Group family business in 1967. He remained there until retiring at year end 1999. Writing on major world and national issues began in summer 2005. In early 2007, radio hosting followed. Lendman now hosts the Progressive Radio News Hour on the Progressive Radio Network three times weekly. Distinguished guests are featured. Listen live or archived. Major world and national issues are discussed. Lendman is a 2008 Project Censored winner and 2011 Mexican Journalists Club international journalism award recipient.
