Petras is Binghamton University, New York Professor Emeritus, a noted figure on the left, a distinguished Latin American expert, and longtime chronicler of the region’s popular struggles.
He’s also a consummate scholar and prolific writer of hundreds of articles and dozens of books, including his latest titled, “The Arab Revolt and the Imperialist Counterattack.”
Major world and national issues will be discussed.
Saturday, October 22 at noon US Central time: Jennifer Loewenstein
Loewenstein teaches at the University of Wisconsin and is Associate Director of its Middle East Studies Program. She’s also a board member of the Israeli Coalition against House Demolitions-USA branch, founder of the Madison-Rafah Sister City Project, and a freelance journalist.
Palestinian issues, including statehood and full de jure UN membership will be discussed.
Sunday, October 23 at noon US Central time: Andrew Kolin
Kolin is Professor of Political Science at Hilbert College. His books include “State Power and Democracy,” “State Structure and Genocide,” and “State Power and Democracy.” It discusses his thesis that America is now a police state.
That topic and his book will be discussed.
