Thursday, April 19 at 10AM US Central time: James Petras
Petras is Binghamton University, New York Professor Emeritus, a noted figure on the left, a distinguished Latin American expert, and longtime chronicler of the region’s popular struggles.
He’s also a consummate scholar and prolific writer of hundreds of articles and dozens of books, including his latest titled, “The Arab Revolt and the Imperialist Counterattack.”
Major world and national issues will be discussed.
Saturday, April 21 at noon US Central time: Don DeBar
DeBar is a longtime activist/journalist, a former Pacifica Radio WBAI news editor, and current CPR Morning Show host.
He also contributing to a book on NATO’s Libya war along with Cynthia McKinney, myself, and others.
Middle East issues will be discussed, including Washington’s Syria and Iran regime change plans.
Sunday, April 22 at noon US Central time: Doug Dowd
At age 93, Dowd is still active and vibrant. Through the late 1990s, he was an economic historian at Cornell, UC Berkeley and elsewhere. It went right along with his activism and progressive thinking.
Now living semi-retired in Bolonga, Italy, he’s no different today. He’s written many books, including his latest titled, “The World Economy: Beginnings, Maturation, and….Deterioration?”
Discussion will focus on it.
