Petras is Binghamton University, New York Professor Emeritus, a noted figure on the left, a distinguished Latin American expert, and longtime chronicler of the region’s popular struggles.
He’s also a consummate scholar and prolific writer of hundreds of articles and dozens of books, including his latest titled, “The Arab Revolt and the Imperialist Counterattack.”
Major world and national issues will be discussed.
Saturday, July 21 at noon US Central time: Solomon Comissiong
Comissiong is an educator, community activist, author, public speaker, and Your World News community media collective founder.
It provides vital alternative news, commentary and opinion on major world and national issues.
His new book is titled “A Hip Hop Activist Speaks Out on Social Issues.”
Discussion will focus on it and his activism.
Sunday, July 22 at noon US Central time: Ellen Brown
Brown is a civil litigation attorney, distinguished author, and frequent writer on financial issues. A new edition of her important book, “Web of Debt,” is a brilliant analysis of the private banking system, how it usurped money creation power, and how we can get it back.
She also heads the Public Banking Institute (PBI), an initiative to return power to the people where it belongs.
Her latest writing will be discussed.

Stephen Lendman was born in 1934 in Boston, MA. In 1956, he received a BA from Harvard University. Two years of US Army service followed, then an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1960. After working seven years as a marketing research analyst, he joined the Lendman Group family business in 1967. He remained there until retiring at year end 1999. Writing on major world and national issues began in summer 2005. In early 2007, radio hosting followed. Lendman now hosts the Progressive Radio News Hour on the Progressive Radio Network three times weekly. Distinguished guests are featured. Listen live or archived. Major world and national issues are discussed. Lendman is a 2008 Project Censored winner and 2011 Mexican Journalists Club international journalism award recipient.
