Israeli Stooge Abbas Supports Obama’s War on Yemen
by Stephen Lendman
Israel appointed Mahmoud Abbas Palestinian Authority leader to provide enforcer services – dirty work it subcontracts.
He’s hugely corrupt. He amassed great stolen wealth serving Israeli interests – conspiring against his own people.
He’s a Palestinian Judas, a longtime Israeli collaborator. He has no legitimacy whatever. He belongs in prison, not high office.
On Thursday, he expressed support for Saudi terror-bombing – naked aggression by any standard.
He backs US-installed ousted puppet Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
He ludicrously called restoring him to power important to create Yemeni security and unity.
He turned a blind eye to his despotic rule. He’s mindless of US-directed Saudi terror bombing murdering scores of civilian men, women and children – maybe hundreds by now.
Reports indicate Saudi and Egyptian military forces intend invading Yemen as soon as orders from Washington signal go.
Expect mass slaughter to follow. Millions of Yemenis are at risk.
Abbas supports what demands universal condemnation.
Naked aggression violates core international law. No nation may attack another except in self-defense.
Security Council members alone may authorize it. Otherwise it’s brazenly illegal.
The Electronic Intifada said senior PA official Mahmound al-Habbash called on Arab states to “strike” Gaza – terror-bomb 1.8 million people the way Israel did last summer.
Murder perhaps thousands more. Maybe turn all remaining parts of Gaza Israel didn’t destroy to rubble.
Abbas supported Israel’s 2008-09 Cast Lead and 2012 Pillar of Cloud wars. Most likely its 2014 Operation Protective Edge carnage.
He’s Palestine’s worst enemy. He supports mass murdering his own people.
Al-Habbash serves as PA religious advisor. What kind of a god he prays to isn’t known – for sure not one civilized people believe in.
He said Arab states are obligated to “strike those who have violated legitimacy with an iron fist, regardless of the place, time or circumstances, beginning with Palestine.”
In January 2006, Palestinians overwhelmingly elected Hamas their legitimate government.
Al-Habbash called its democratic victory and what followed “a coup” separating Gaza and West Bank authority.
“(I)t must be addressed with firmness,” he said. Mass murder is his method of choice.
“There can be no dialogue with coup-makers. They must be hit with an iron fist.”
Israel complicit with Washington orchestrated “coup-mak(ing)” against Palestine’s legitimately elected government.
Hamas successfully resisted their lawlessness. The price of electoral victory and resisting coup d’etat efforts was longterm isolation under siege and three US-supported and encouraged Israeli wars of aggression.
Abbas solidified West Bank power as Palestine’s illegitimate leader.
Besieged Gazans continue suffering horrifically under Israel’s lawless blockade – with no end in sight or international community help to support their legitimate rights.
Al-Habbash perhaps spoke for Abbas saying “(t)here are many other (regional) cases that should be treated like Yemen.”
In other words, mass murdering Arabs is OK as long as privileged ones benefit.
Abbas, al-Habbash and likeminded corrupt PA officials are Palestinians worst enemies. Why they put up with them, they’ll have to explain.
