Biggest Syria War Big Lies
by Stephen Lendman
Good wars don’t exist, imperial ones worst of all, rage for power and dominance most devastating. Civilians suffer most in all wars – in harm’s way with no place to hide.
Truth and sunlight are the best disinfectants. All wars are based on deception and Big Lies – no exceptions. Hard truths expose them – why they’re zealously suppressed in the mainstream.
Propaganda works. Managed news misinformation and Big Lies repeated enough get most people to believe them – how America gets away with mass murder, raping and destroying one country after another, responsible for millions of deaths post-9/11 alone.
Tim Anderson’s important new book, titled “The Dirty War on Syria: Washington, Regime Change and Resistance” is must reading, explaining what everyone needs to know.
Obama’s war continues “rel(ying) on a level of mass disinformation not seen in living memory,” Anderson stresses – endless Big Lies on steroids.
Facts vital to know for a clear understanding of what’s happening are polar opposite scoundrel media-proliferated perversions of hard truths – rubbish unfit to print or broadcast.
Americans are so out-of-touch, uninformed and indifferent, they’re easy marks to manipulate. They believe what they hear repeated ad nauseam – endless duplicitous lies.
Syria’s war isn’t civil. Obama launched proxy naked aggression in March 2011 for regime change.
He attacked a nonbelligerent country threatening no others, the highest of high crimes, waging war without mercy, wanting US-controlled puppet governance replacing sovereign Syrian independence.
Continuing conflict is one of endless US imperial wars, part of its grand scheme for global dominance, the human cost of no consequence, considered a small price to pay.
Syria was invaded, ISIS and other terrorist elements imported from scores of regional, Western and other countries – used as US foot soldiers.
Obama’s claim about wanting these elements degraded and destroyed is one of his many Big Lies.
They couldn’t exist and thrive without foreign support – arming, funding, training and directing them, letting them freely cross from Turkey into Syrian territory, given safe haven when crossing back.
So-called “moderate rebels” don’t exist. All anti-government militants waging war on Syria and its people are terrorists – trained by CIA operatives in the fine art of committing gruesome atrocities, including beheadings, using chemical and other banned weapons, along with deliberately targeting civilians as an intimidating strategy.
Russia alone among world powers continues working tirelessly for conflict resolution – its forthright efforts “rewarded” with relentless bashing Big Lies about nonexistent “aggression.”
Speaking at the mid-February Munich Security Conference, John Kerry despicably bashed what he called “repeated (Moscow) aggression” in Ukraine and Syria.
None whatever exists, not now, not earlier, no illegal actions planned. The Big Lie repeats anyway, drowning out hard truths.
Russia’s effective anti-terrorism campaign in Syria is repeatedly bashed irresponsibly – falsely claiming it’s not targeting ISIS and other terrorist groups, largely (nonexistent) moderate rebels, striking non-military related areas, killing hundreds of civilians.
Well-documented hard facts prove otherwise. Big Lies persist anyway. Media scoundrels feature them daily. Presstitution pays well. Truth-tellers are scorned, ignored and disparaged.
Obama’s war on Syria rages, prospects for resolution nowhere in sight. Claims otherwise reflect pure fantasy.
