Trump, Clinton Closer to Clinching Party Nominations

Trump, Clinton Closer to Clinching Party Nominations
by Stephen Lendman
Both candidates look unstoppable, winning big on Tuesday. Other aspirants fell further behind.
Kasich took Ohio, a meaningless win, only slowing, not stopping, Trump’s momentum. In a very close race, NBC News overnight reported Trump the apparent Missouri winner.
Rubio is out, unable to win his home state of Florida, finishing first only in Minnesota, Puerto and the District of Columbia.
It’s a two-candidate Republican race, Cruz far behind frontrunner Trump, winning nearly half the contested delegates so far.
He’s ahead with 621 of the 1,237 needed for nomination, Cruz way behind with 395. Clinton has 1,561 delegates to Sanders’ 800. She won Florida, Ohio, Illinois and North Carolina primaries on Tuesday.
She’s a shoe-in, preselected to be Democrat nominee, the system rigged in her favor.
Sanders maintains a brave face. He’ll likely hang on until she officially clinches the nomination. With a lock on most super-delegates (selected by party bosses), it’s all over but the postmortems.
Trump took Florida, Illinois and North Carolina, lost Ohio, won Missouri by less than 2,000 votes.
America’s political system is too corrupted to fix. Elections when held are farcical. Voters have no say whatever, conned each electoral cycle to believe otherwise.
Democracy is pure fantasy. None whatever exists. Duopoly power prevents it. One-party rule with two wings assures tyranny.
Results in November are pre-determined. Money power wins every time. Ordinary people always lose.
Grassroots revolution alone can change things. Voting is a waste of time, accomplishing nothing.
