Deplorable NYT Praise for John Kerry: Imperial Warrior, Not Peacemaker
by Stephen Lendman
Syria is Obama’s war. Resolving it requires ending support for US-created and backed terrorist groups, serving as imperial foot soldiers.
Nothing else can work other than Russian and Syrian forces defeating them militarily. Diplomacy is a waste of time, accomplishing nothing throughout years of conflict. America bargains in bad faith, systematically breaching all deals agreed on.
Kerry’s so-called push for peace in Syria and the region is phony. If Washington sought it, why then do all its post-9/11 wars continue raging with no prospect for resolution anywhere – forever wars serving US interests, millions of victims, endless violence and chaos the price of imperial arrogance.
NYT reporting suppresses US high crimes. It disgracefully praised imperial warrior Kerry, calling world’s leading peacemaker Russia “a duplicitous player in Syria’s tragic civil war…”
There’s nothing civil about Obama’s naked aggression. Irresponsible Times Russia-bashing ignores its preeminent peacemaker role in Syria and Ukraine – warranting Nobel Peace Prize recognition, not forthcoming.
Agreed on Geneva terms call for US/Russia cooperation in combating terrorism in Syria. Chances for Washington cooperating with a nation it calls its leading national security threat is nil.
Adversarial relations remain hard-wired because America wants them this way – despite Russia’s forthright efforts for normalized ties, unattainable since the 1917 Russian revolution.
Kerry, Hillary Clinton before him, all other US officials and ones to serve in the next administration intend continuing hostile policies toward Russia.
They one-sidedly support Israeli anti-Palestinian ruthlessness. They threaten all sovereign independent nations with regime change, naked aggression America’s lead strategy of choice.
They prevent world peace, stability and security. They wage war at home against ordinary Americans.
Kerry saying Geneva terms “may be the last chance we have to save a united Syria” flies in the face of America continuing to rape the country, wanting its sovereign independence destroyed, its territory partitioned, perhaps ending the Syrian Arab Republic’s existence.
The Times and other media scoundrels support Washington’s imperial agenda – regardless of the horrific toll in human lives and suffering.
