WaPo Disinformation on Russia and Syria
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)
What else to expect from a neocon/CIA-connected publication, turning out daily propaganda, not credible reports.
WaPo blasted Trump’s remarks on Putin, daring to believe his credibility, a rare quality among politicians anywhere – none of note in America and the West.
WaPo lied claiming Putin duplicity, describing its own daily rubbish, suppressing hard truths, substituting disinformation, Big Lied and fake news on issues mattering most.
Claiming “the State Department announced a new bargain with Moscow about Syria that commits Russia to the withdrawal of Iranian forces from the country” is a bald-faced lie.
No such agreement was reached. Syria is a sovereign independent country, legally entitled to invite Iranian, Hezbollah and Russian forces on its territory for as long as it wishes, wherever it allows their presence.
No foreign power can deny them the right, especially America, waging naked aggression for regime change – or Israel, terror-bombing the country at its discretion, goading it to respond to give the IDF a pretext for greater war than already.
Syria and its allies are united for one objective – defeating US-supported terrorist groups, along with ending America’s illegal occupation of its northern and southern territory, a flagrant violation of international law, spurned with impunity.
Russia and Syria scrupulously observe agreements reached. Washington consistently breaches them.
Syrian and allied forces, greatly aided by Russian airpower are committed to combat and defeat terrorism in the country.
Washington and its rogue partners support ISIS and other terrorist groups, pretending otherwise.
WaPo: “…Tillerson should avoid the foolish error of…Trump: assuming that…Putin, in offering improbable assurances, ‘means it.’ “
Putin is a man of his word. US officials can never be trusted – consistently pledging one thing, doing another, harming millions worldwide, waging endless wars of aggression – supported by WaPo and other media scoundrels.
