WaPo’s Editorial War on Russia: Part II

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

The neocon Washington Post is a CIA house organ, its editorial policy influenced by Langley – including its extreme hostility toward Russia.

Disinformation substitutes for truth-telling on virtually everything the agency and WaPo report about the country.

WaPo: “…Vladimir Putin tried to sway the results of the presidential vote. Moreover, it is likely to mount similar operations in 2018 and 2020.”

“In that sense, the most damaging aspect of President Trump’s behavior on Russia may not be his attempts to discredit the work of Robert S. Mueller III – which so far have had scant effect – but his utter disregard of the continuing threat from Moscow.”

Fact: Russia DID NOT interfere in America’s 2016 presidential election. Not a shred of evidence suggests it. None exists.

Fact: Mueller shouldn’t have been appointed special counsel. No evidence of improper or illegal Trump’s connection to Russia exists.

Months of fruitless investigation found nothing – an undemocratic Dem scheme to delegitimize Trump extrajudicially, a deplorable witch-hunt with no credibility. Individuals involved should be prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned.

A previous day article discussed a four-page classified memo released to House members, reportedly showing extensive FISA abuses.

It explains spurious accusations without evidence, unverified rubbish alleging misconduct and collusion between Trump, his campaign and Russia during the presidential campaign – including phony accusations of Russian US election interference.

There’s plenty about Trump to criticize, not for showing “utter disregard” for a Russian threat that doesn’t exist. WaPo lied claiming otherwise.

WaPo: A report by undemocratic Dem Senator Ben Cardin “describes the situation with terrifying simplicity: Never before in American history has so clear a threat to national security been so clearly ignored by a US president.”

Fact: Cardin’s report made spurious claims – based solely on long ago discredited Big Lies, using disreputable Russophobic sources. It was beginning-to-end disinformation.

WaPo: “Though its hacking of the Democratic National Committee, distribution of malicious propaganda on social media and efforts to penetrate state electoral computer systems have been documented by the US intelligence community and prompted the Obama administration and Congress to impose sanctions…Putin…has not been deterred.”

Fact: All of the above is hate-mongering, Russophobic rubbish – typical WaPo disinformation, serving its CIA masters.

WaPo: “Since the 2016 election, Russia has tried to disrupt democratic processes in many other countries.”

Fact: More long ago discredited rubbish.

WaPo: “The Trump administration has done next to nothing” to protect against a nonexistent Russian threat.

Washington, NATO, Israel and their rogue partners in high crimes represent the only serious ones – ignored by WaPo and other media scoundrels.
