World’s Leading Aggressor Calls for Respecting UN Charter Principles

by Stephen Lendman ( – Home – Stephen Lendman)

The UN Charter’s Preamble states:

“We the Peoples of the United Nations Determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind…”

America, NATO, Israel, and their rogue allies ignore it, waging endless premeditated wars of aggression on humanity.

Washington’s permanent war agenda threatens everyone everywhere – peace, stability, UN Charter and other rule of law principles anathema notions it rejects.

US new millennium wars alone killed millions. Many more victims die daily. Wherever America shows up, mass slaughter, destruction and human misery follow.

Endless wars without mercy reflect official US policy, civilians harmed most of all in all its theaters, carnage suppressed by media scoundrels, blaming others for its high crimes.

Never since the atom was split has the threat of humanity destroying nuclear war been greater than now.

The late Gabriel Kolko called the 20th century the bloodiest in history, estimating over 170 million people slaughtered by war, 70% civilians, he said – largely by terror-bombing cities.

His book “A Century of War” explained the carnage. In his follow-up book “Another Century of War?” he stressed US responsibility for most of the world’s disorder through aggressive interventions and being the world’s largest arms producer and exporter – profiting from death, destruction and human misery.

“The way America’s leaders are running the nation’s foreign policy is not creating peace or security at home or stability abroad. The reverse is the case,” said Kolko.

America renounced rule of law principles, notably post-WW II. Despite having no enemies, it’s permanently at war.

Its global empire of bases are platforms for ongoing and future wars. It runs a secret, unaccountable global torture-prison gulag, Guantanamo the tip of the iceberg.

Blacks, Latino immigrants, Muslims, and other minorities are scapegoated for political advantage – Russia demonized for its sovereign independence and opposition to America’s imperial agenda.

Duopoly US governance with two right wings exclusively serves privileged Americans at the expense of most others.

The Pentagon and US intelligence community operate unaccountably.

Corporate and duplicitous public media operate as quasi-ministries of state propaganda, suppressing hard truths on vital issues.

The destructive agenda of America’s military/industrial/intelligence community/major media/think tank/academia complex threatens humanity like never before in human history.

The business of America is aggressive wars for global dominance – detonating nuclear bombs against adversaries just a matter of time. Fat man and Little Boy were rehearsals for things to come.

On Wednesday, neocon Ziofascist Nikki Haley addressed the Security Council on the UN Charter’s purpose and principles for maintaining peace and security.

Representing the world’s leading aggressor state/abuser of human rights globally, she should have been banished from the chamber instead of being allowed to recite a litany of Big Lies.

Haley: “The (UN) Charter commits all members to the pursuit of peace and security based on respect for the principal of equal rights and self-determination. It calls on members to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms for all.”

Fact: No nation in world history more grievously spurns UN Charter principles than America – from the republic’s inception, long before the world body existed.

Haley: “In the United States, our constitution and democratic system of government binds us to act in the interests of our people.”

Fact: America is a warrior aggressor state, a plutocracy, not a democracy, serving its privileged class exclusively.

Fact: “We the People” in the US Constitution’s preamble applies to its dominant ruling and influential class alone. So does its general welfare clause (Article 1, Section 8, clause 1).

Haley: “(S)overeignty gives no country the right to trample on the human rights and fundamental freedoms of others.”

Fact: America does it against the humanity, at home and abroad, grievously breaching fundamental international, constitutional and US statute laws.

Haley: “For the words of the Charter to have any meaning, all Member States must be accountable and abide by them. For the words of the Charter to have any meaning, the Security Council must be willing to act when Member States violate them.”

Fact: No nation harmed more people over a longer duration than America, none more grievously threaten world peace and stability.

Haley irresponsibly blamed Russia and other countries for rule of breaches – ignoring Washington’s long history of aggressive wars and state terror on an unprecedented scale.

GW Bush notoriously called the Constitution “just another goddamed piece of paper.”

Washington treats the UN Charter the same way – notably by the Clintons, Bush/Cheney, Obama and Trump, waging permanent wars on humanity, threatening its extinction.
