Escalated US-Led Aggression on Syria Not the End of It

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

Washington and its rogue allies have been at war on Syria since March 2011 – US-orchestrated aggression against a nation posing no threat.

Overnight US-led terror-bombing continued what’s been ongoing since September 2014, massacring civilians, destroying vital infrastructure, flagrantly violating international, constitutional and US statute laws – along with using ISIS and other terrorists as imperial foot soldiers.

False flags are a US tradition, the Douma CW non-incident the latest example, more of the same certain ahead.

America wages forever wars, enemies invented to justify outrageous militarism and naked aggression, smashing one country after another.

Russia defeated Washington’s imperial agenda in Syria, but it doesn’t matter. War rages with no end of it in sight.

It’s just a matter of time before the next false flag, maybe something more flagrant than earlier – followed by likely larger scale aggression than overnight, maybe an attempt to take out Assad and much more.

The worst in Syria and elsewhere is likely coming. Is all-out war Washington’s bottom line strategy after all other options fail?

Surprisingly no casualties were reported overnight. Plenty of others happen daily from US-led terror-bombing and atrocities committed by terrorists it supports.

Assad said aggression like overnight strengthened Syria’s resolve to combat and “crush terrorism in every inch of the nation.”

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the Islamic Republic stands in solidarity with Syria in combating foreign-supported terrorism.

He blasted US-led blatant “aggression against the Syrian soil,” destabilizing the entire region.

On Saturday, Sergey Lavrov said Washington and its allies failed to produce any evidence of CW use in Douma, nor in Khan Sheikhoun last April – US-led aggression following both incidents based on Big Lies.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova issued a statement saying:

“The pretext for the attack, according to the statements made by US officials and the so called secret report recently published by French intelligence agencies, were mass media and social media publications.”

So-called evidence used to justify overnight aggression doesn’t exist. Macron’s regime lied, claiming Syria “retained a clandestine chemical weapons program since 2013.”

No such program exists. No evidence proves otherwise. The White House, State Department and “Mad Dog” Mattis falsely claim “a high level of confidence” about Syrian use of CWs in Douma.

Not a shred of evidence suggests it. Britain turned truth on its head, calling Russia’s exposure of a fake CW incident in Douma “a blatant lie.”

Moscow has indisputable documented evidence proving no CW incident occurred in Douma.

Trump believes otherwise from Fox News reports. UK and French leaders perhaps use their own media and online reports signifying nothing.

In the aftermath of pre-dawn Saturday US-led aggression on Syria, it’s virtually certain more of the same is coming – when and how severe remains to be seen.
