Israeli Regime Censorship
Israel’s rogue state status is second only by America’s, their partnership in high crimes an axis of pure evil like no others.
Both countries are nuclear armed and dangerous aggressor states, permanently at war without formally declaring it – unaccountable for endless Nuremberg-level high crimes of war, against humanity and genocide.
Proposed Netanyahu regime legislation bans filming or photographing IDF soldiers on duty in the Occupied Territories – wanting their high crimes suppressed, kept from public view and knowledge.
The measure states: “Anyone who filmed, photographed, and/or recorded soldiers in the course of their duties, with the intention of undermining the spirit of IDF soldiers and residents of Israel, shall be liable to five years imprisonment. Anyone intending to harm state security will be sentenced to ten years imprisonment.”
An earlier statement by the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate said the following:
Ziofascist Israeli war minister Avigdor Lieberman proposed the hostile measure – “severely attack(ing) the profession of the press and legitimizes the criminal practices committed by the Israeli occupation army against Palestinian people.”
“It is an attempt to escape punishment and international justice.”
The measure also prohibits the distribution or publication of state censored content on social or other media.
Israeli war on press freedom in regard to IDF activities is longstanding. Military censorship prohibits publishing information about its high crimes on the phony pretext of protecting national security.
Historical revisionism has been state policy since establishment of the Jewish state – legitimizing massacres, ethnic cleaning, and other forms of state terror, calling what’s outrageous heroic actions, defending the indefensible, perpetuating the myth of Jewish exceptionalism and god’s chosen people rubbish.
Its so-called “war if independence” came at the expense of indigenous Palestinians, forcibly driven from their homeland, denied their legal right of return, terrorized to maintain Israeli control over stolen land.
Israeli historiography portrays naked aggression and state terror as liberating actions or self-defense, hardline Ziofascist rule as the region’s only democracy – pure fantasy, not reality.
On Wednesday, Association for Civil Rights in Israel’s Human Rights in the Occupied Territories Unit director Ronit Sela discussed the above measure, saying:
Hardline Knesset members “passed a preliminary reading of a bill that would limit the ability of NGOs, journalists, and citizens to document soldiers’ conduct in the Territories, threatening them with 5-10 years imprisonment.”
“The bill is expected to undergo changes before it is voted next, given that the Attorney General has concluded it is unconstitutional and a violation of freedom of speech, freedom of press, and the public’s right to know.”
“Despite the legal opinion of the AG, the coalition nevertheless voted in favor of this unconstitutional bill” – maintaining unacceptable Knesset tradition, notably under Ziofascist Sharon and Netanyahu leadership.
The measure in question is all about Israeli hardliners wanting impunity for their high crimes. Press freedom exposes them – key to challenging outrageous behavior.
Sela explained that “(c)ameras (are) tool(s) for human rights organizations, the media and activists to expose, document and publicize the harsh realities of the Israeli occupation.”
“Through this bill, the government seeks to prevent disclosure of the military’s conduct in the Territories” – daily high crimes it wants suppressed, notably in blockaded Gaza, an entire population held hostage to its viciousness.
Democracy and civil society are meaningless figures of speech in Israel – a rogue state, ruthlessly oppressing Palestinians for not being Jewish, for wanting equal rights, for seeking liberation from occupation harshness.
Israel relentlessly denies Palestinians their fundamental rights guaranteed under international law.
The world community one-sidedly supports Israel, failing to hold it accountable for high crimes too egregious to ignore.
