Syria’s Refugee Crisis

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

Refugee crisis conditions follow wars, perpetrators bearing full responsibility.

Millions in Syria and elsewhere desperately seek safe havens out of harm’s way – internally or abroad.

US-led wars of aggression created the severest refugee crisis since WW II. Peace and stability alone can end it, including humanitarian aid for displaced millions until they’re able to rebuild their shattered lives.

How do displaced people cope with limited access to nutritious food, at times none, inadequate or no medical care, lack of education for children and other essentials?

How do they survive? How many perish out of sight and mind? What hope is there for world peace and stability with US rage for endless wars of aggression – smashing one country after another?

Allied with Washington’s imperial agenda, Israel bears responsibility for regional wars and the refugee crisis.

Western and Israeli media support ongoing aggression on Syria, falsely blaming Damascus for displaced civilians.

Ignoring the occupation of southwestern Syria by US/Israeli-supported terrorists and Pentagon troops, Al Jazeera lied blaming Syrian and Russian aerial operations for “killing more than 170 (civilians) in Deraa over the last several days” – according to local sources identified as (al-Qaeda-connected) White Helmets, terrorists masquerading as civil defense workers.

Al Jazeera explained nothing about the ongoing campaign to liberate Syrians held hostage for years by US/Israeli-supported cutthroat killers – responsible for their suffering and deaths.

Haaretz turned truth on its head, falsely accusing Syrian forces of “shell(ing) the refugees’ escape routes,” adding:

“Israel has allowed some 4,000 wounded Syrians to pass through the border over the last five years, where they have received medical aid” – failing they explain they’re ISIS and other terrorists the Netanyahu regime supports, mostly imported from scores of countries.

Like Western media scoundrels, Haaretz falsely calls US-led naked aggression in Syria “civil war.”

There’s nothing civil about Washington’s rage to transform the country into another client state – endless conflict its strategy as in other US war theaters, Israel partnered in its high crimes.
