NYT Backs the Big Lie About an Iranian Threat
The Times is a lying machine, a propaganda producer — news, information and analysis on major issues banned from its editions.
On domestic issues, it’s a mouthpiece for Wall Street and other predatory corporate interests.
On geopolitical issues, it’s a press agent for US wars aggression and by other means, vilifying nonbelligerent nations threatening no one on the US target list for regime change.
The Times gives media a bad name. It long ago substituted state approved propaganda for journalism the way it should be.
It’s militantly hostile toward Venezuela’s social democracy, a notion it deplores at home and abroad.
It acts the same way against Iran, falsely accusing the country of threatening US and Israeli security — a bald-faced Big Lie.
On August 15, it reported that the Trump and Netanyahu regimes, along with the UAE dictatorship, are holding “secret talks…to confront threats poses by Iran” — that don’t exist, so they’re invented.
Falsely claiming “Iran (is) a top threat to the region” ignored the real threat posed by US regional military bases, its wars of aggression, Israeli state terror against Palestinians, Syria, and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, along with their alliance with despotic Arab states.
The US/Israeli axis seeks partners to participate in its unlawful “maximum pressure” on Iran, what I call war by other means.
The Times: The Trump regime’s “campaign against Iran has been met with mixed success (sic) since the United States withdrew in May 2018 from a nuclear accord between Tehran and world powers” — polar opposite reality.
Other than token support from Britain and Israel for their anti-Iran Persian Gulf coalition, Pompeo and Bolton struck out in their attempt to enlist at least 20 partners for their hostile initiative.
They struck out a second time by failing to pressure Gibraltar’s high court from freeing Iran’s Grace 1 super-tanker.
Unlawfully seized by Britain in international waters on orders from the Trump regime, a clear act of maritime piracy, its hardliners want the vessel seized.
They’re plotting a new maritime piracy act to steal the vessel and its oil cargo — how and when remaining to unfold.
With few exceptions, most world community nations want no part of the White House’s hostile anti-Iran agenda, concerned it could lead to destabilizing the region more than already, possibly another hugely destructive war.
The Times lied claiming Trump regime sanctions “stopped Iran from exporting oil and other goods to foreign buyers…”
The Islamic Republic has 40 years of experience in circumventing US sanctions on the country and other hostile actions. China especially buys Iranian oil freely. So do other nations.
To its shame, the Times supports the Trump regime’s war on Iran by other means, failing to explain and denounce its unlawful imperial agenda.
US actions menace world peace, threatening everyone everywhere. The Times and other establishment media support what demands denunciation.
Put them out of business by refusing to read their rubbish nor follow what’s worse on television.
Stick with reliable independent sources of real news, information and analysis, largely available online. Ignore the rest.
It’s simple to stay informed with minimal effort. It’s the only way to know how US policymakers and their imperial allies exploit ordinary people to benefit privileged ones exclusively.
