Media Supported US War on Iran by Other Means

Trump’s militant hostility toward Iran was clearly stated early in his tenure.
Disinformation and Big Lies punctuate his anti-Iran venom. From Saudi Arabia during his first foreign trip in May 2017, he falsely accused Iran of the following, saying:
“From Lebanon to Iraq to Yemen, Iran funds arms and trains terrorists, militias, and other extremist groups that spread destruction and chaos across the region (sic).”
“For decades, Iran has fueled the fires of sectarian conflict and terror (sic).”
“It is a government that speaks openly of mass murder (sic), vowing the destruction of Israel (sic), death to America (sic), and ruin for many leaders and nations in this very room (sic).”
“Bolstered by Iran, Assad has committed unspeakable crimes (sic)…”
All of the above and more in his remarks were and remain bald-faced Big Lies — how the US, NATO, Israel, and their rogue partners operate, not Iran, the region’s leading peace and stability proponent, abhorring wars, wanting them ended, seeking cooperative relations with other nations in contrast to how the US pursues dominance by brute force.
Trump and hardline officials infesting his regime proliferate countless Big Lies about Iran time and again — repeated by war-supporting establishment media.
In its latest anti-Iran propaganda report, the NYT lying machine falsely accused Iran of “fueling terrorism and sectarian strife in the Middle East” — how the US and its imperial partners operate globally, supported by the Times.
The broadsheet lied claiming the JCPOA “forestalled Iran’s nuclear arms program” — that never existed in a nation whose ruling authorities abhor these terror weapons of mass destruction, wanting them eliminated everywhere.
The Times supports the Trump regime’s illegal “maximum pressure” on Iran, what its officials correctly call “economic terrorism,” ordinary Iranians harmed most, precisely what US hardliners intend.
Further Times Big Lies followed, falsely accusing Iran of “discard(ing) nuclear-production restrictions (sic), hitting tankers in the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz (sic), (and) a Saudi pipeline (sic),” adding:
“Then, two weeks ago, came the cruise-missile attack on key oil facilities inside Saudi Arabia. Iran has said it was not behind that attack, but there is little question that it would have to at least have permitted it (sic), if not instigated it (sic).”
Not a shred of credible evidence suggests any of the above accusations, reality ignored by the Times. “Iran is back in the nuclear weapons business,” it falsely roared.
No responsible editors would touch this and Big Lies about Iran and other countries. Times editors instruct columnists to spread them against nations on the US target list for regime change.
Hesitant about US war on Iran, Times rhetoric incites it, showing what it really supports.
Fox News featured Big Lies by defrocked/former Saudi foreign minister Adel al-Jubier, now in a subordinate position, his venom unrelenting.
“The Iranian history of the past 40 years has been one of aggression especially against my country (sic),” he roared, adding: “Appeasing Iran (sic) has only fueled Iran’s aggressive behavior (sic).”
Saudi Arabia is a ruthless dictatorship, a family owned and controlled territory, masquerading as a nation-state.
Tyranny, exceeding the Arab world’s worst, defines how its ruling regimes operate internally. Geopolitically, it partners with US regional wars of aggression, including support for ISIS and likeminded jihadists.
It publicly flogs, otherwise tortures, and beheads regime critics. Trump regime hardliners fawn over its crime family leadership, ignoring its viciousness, praising its tyrannical rule.
Separately, by presidential proclamation, Trump banned senior Iranian officials and family members from coming to the US — what they have no intention of doing anyway, wanting no part of stepping on hostile soil, risking arrest, imprisonment, and brutal mistreatment.
Weeks earlier, the Trump regime revoked visas of targeted Iranian students, ones supporting their government over US aims to topple it.
They were scheduled to begin studies at US universities in early September, reportedly in engineering and computer science.
Trump’s racist travel ban forbids visits to the US from Iran and other designated, predominantly Muslim, countries.
Weeks earlier, designated Chinese students were also denied entry into the US, interdicted and sent home.
In New York with President Rouhani at the UN, Foreign Minister Zarif was denied permission by the Trump regime to visit Iran’s hospitalized UN envoy, undergoing cancer treatment at a Manhattan hospital.
All of the above are a few of countless examples of US viciousness — polar opposite how just societies operate.
