NYT Hit Piece Calls Trump Disqualified to Run in 2020
When Joe Biden announced his candidacy for president last April, the NYT said the following:
He’s “offer(ing) himself as a levelheaded leader for a country wracked by political conflict, a rationale he believes could attract a broad cross-section of voters who want to move on from Mr. Trump,” adding:
“Mr. Biden is seen by many Democrats as a trustee of former President Barack Obama’s legacy (sic), perhaps capable of restoring the consensus-seeking liberalism (sic) of Mr. Obama’s administration.”
At the time, I said there’s nothing “liberal” about terror-bombing seven countries and bragging about it, about toppling democratic governments, supporting tinpot despots, forced-feeding neoliberal harshness on America’s most disadvantaged in deference to Wall Street and other corporate interests, being the nation’s Deporter-in-Chief, institutionalizing indefinite detentions by EO, his secret kill list, appointing himself judge, jury and executioner, breaching most positive campaign promises made, disgracing the office he held for 8 years.
Obama virtually endorsed Biden, a statement by a spokeswoman saying:
“President Obama has long said that selecting Joe Biden as his running mate in 2008 was one of the best decisions he ever made (sic),” adding:
“He relied on the vice president’s knowledge, insight, and judgment throughout both campaigns and the entire presidency (sic). The two forged a special bond over the last 10 years and remain close today.”
The Times earlier urged Biden to run, claiming “the sharp left turn in the Democratic Party (sic) and the rise of progressive presidential candidates (sic) are unnerving moderate Democrats (sic).”
Biden supports virtually everything just societies abhor. Yet he remains a Times favorite.
The broadsheet wants revenge for Trump’s 2016 triumph over Hillary, backing dirty tricks to defeat him — most prominently the politicized impeachment inquiry scam, based on nothing legitimate, Trump’s team able to use it to his advantage.
He’s a figure I revile for his destructive domestic and geopolitical agenda, along with notorious serial lying.
But I strongly condemn underhanded politicized meanness as a strategy to discredit and defeat him — used by undemocratic Dems and their supportive media, what’s clear to everyone paying attention.
A Times hit piece by an establishment Niskanen Center think tank contributor headlined: “Trump Has Disqualified Himself From Running in 2020,” saying:
“Mr. Trump’s brazen attempt to cheat his way into a second term stands so scandalously exposed that there can be no assurance of a fair election if he’s allowed to stay in office.”
“Resolving the question of the president’s fitness at the ballot box isn’t really an option, much less the best option, when the question boils down to whether the ballot box will be stuffed,” adding:
“Impeachment is therefore imperative (sic), not only to protect the integrity of next year’s elections but to secure America’s continued democratic existence (sic).”
“If the House does its job, it will fall to Senate Republicans to reveal, in their decision to convict (or not), their preferred flavor of republic: constitutional or banana.”
A previous article explained the following:
Ukrainegate reveals Joe Biden’s culpability for forcing Kiev’s Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin from office over an investigation of his son Hunter’s dubious dealings as a Ukrainian Burisma Holdings board member.
In a sworn statement ignored by US establishment media, Shorkin accused Biden of “directly manipulat(ing) the political leadership of Ukraine on false pretexts…”
He publicly admitted blackmailing Ukraine’s government in remarks at the Council on Foreign Relations, saying:
“If the prosecutor general is not fired, you’re not getting the money” — referring to a US billion dollar loan guarantee for Kiev.
Biden added: “Well, son of a bitch. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time (sic).”
The investigation of Hunter Biden’s involvement with Bursima Holdings’ dubious dealings was dropped. Biden’s blackmail forced the issue.
In November 2014, months after the Obama/Biden regime’s coup in Ukraine, replacing democratic governance with pro-Western fascist tyranny, Biden and coup point person Victoria Nuland arrived in Kiev, Washington’s newest colony.
They discussed US plans for escalated war without mercy on Donbass freedom fighters, citing nonexistent “Russian aggression” in Ukraine — a longstanding US specialty, not how the Russian Federation operates.
They promised US political and military support for endless war in Donbass — still ongoing intermittently over six years later.
Controlled by the US, Ukraine remains a cancer in Europe’s heartland, an anti-Russia police state under its post-coup anointed president and his successor.
In late September, Kiev leader Vladimir Zelensky told Trump he’ll try to regain control over Crimea, saying:
“It seems to me, and (Trump) agrees that (Crimea) is our territory and that we will get it back.”
In 2014, its residents voted overwhelmingly to return to Russia, wanting a historic mistake corrected. Putin legally obliged them.
Crimea is Russian territory, abandoning it out of the question, Putin earlier saying:
“If we perceive a threat to our territory, and Crimea is our territory, like the whole state, we will defend it with all the means we have at our disposal.”
According to Fort Russ, Trump told Zelensky to normalize relations with Russia, what bipartisan US dark forces won’t tolerate.
If true as reported, it’s one of many reasons why undemocratic Dems, the US intelligence community, and establishment media want him discredited and replaced as president.
The politicized impeachment inquiry scam is all about wanting him vulnerable to defeat in November 2020.
If impeached by House members, enlisting a two-thirds Senate super-majority to remove him from office is highly unlikely — what never happened before in US history.
The scheme is more likely to backfire than succeed, aiding Trump’s reelection prospects. Damaging revelations about Biden can be used to discredit him.
He’s slipping. Last week, Politico said his “poll numbers are crumbling in the early nominating states that matter most.”
He’s trailing Elizabeth Warren in Iowa and New Hampshire. “His South Carolina firewall shows signs of cracking, and he’s losing his once-overwhelming lead in Florida, according to a raft of recent polling.”
“Biden’s descent has been months in the making,” including over “over lackluster debate performances and frequent misstatements…”
“(T)he downward trend in Biden’s primary election top-line numbers and favorability ratings — which began long before reports surfaced recently detailing how President Donald Trump pushed Ukraine to investigate old business ties involving the former vice president’s son — suggests several bruising months have taken a toll.”
His support dropped sharply. “(H)is unfavorable numbers doubled,” said Politico.
According to a September Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, his national support tumbled from 32% months earlier to 23%.
One pollster noted: “Instead of controlling the race, the race is controlling him.”
Ukrainegate may elevate Warren or another Dem over Biden. His deplorable record as senator and vice president speaks for itself.
