No Thanksgiving Joy in the Holy Land

There’s nothing to give thanks for in Occupied Palestine and US war theaters — deaths, destruction and appalling human suffering a daily fact of life because of its imperial rage to dominate.
US aggression in Syria continues with no end of it in prospect because bipartisan hardliners reject restoration of peace and stability to the country.
On Thursday, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said “tensions persist” in parts of the country not controlled by Syrian forces.
US-supported al-Nusra terrorists in Idlib province shell government troops and residential areas multiple times daily — using US, other Western and Israeli supplied weapons.
US-supported ISIS jihadists remain in parts of the country and elsewhere regionally. Pentagon, Turkish, French and UK forces occupy northern and/or southern Syrian territory.
On Thanksgiving Day, Southfront reported the following on endless war in Yemen, saying:
“Ceasefire violations were reported in (the strategic port city of) al Hudaydah.”
“Ten people were killed and 22 others were wounded in the Raqu area, the Munbah district due to Saudi artillery fire.”
A Yemeni Houthi spokesman said the following about a large-scale attack on Saudi-led forces:
“More than 350 hostile elements were killed and wounded, including Saudi, Emirati and Sudanese nationals,” adding:
Houthi forces “destroyed five weapons stores and a number of vehicles and armored vehicles in the targeted camps in Mocha.”
The attack retaliated against Saudi-led aggression in northern Yemen.
“We affirm that we will not stand idly by and will respond strongly to the aggression and violations in Hodeidah and the western coast,” the Houthi spokesman stressed.
Endless US-launched war in Yemen continues with no prospect for near-term resolution.
The US rejects restoration of peace and stability in all its war theaters.
The Trump regime wants Syria deprived of its oil resources to deny its authorities revenues needed for reconstruction. What’s looted is also a CIA and Big Oil revenue source.
Likely US-supported anti-Iran hooligans set its consulate ablaze in Najaf, Iraq on Wednesday, Tehran’s envoy in the country Iraj Masjedi saying the following:
“Last night, a number of hooligans attacked Iran’s mission in Najaf and after confronting with security forces and harming some of them, entered the consulate and set the place on fire,” adding:
“All our diplomats are now sound and safe. Heavy damages have been inflicted on the consulate building and it cannot be used anymore.”
“The purpose of those behind this incident is to destroy relations between Iran and Iraq.”
“They are foreign mercenaries who are encouraged by TV channels of enemies.”
“They seek nothing but to hamper brotherly relations between Iran and Iraq. This is not what the Iraqi people and government want.”
The incident likely had CIA dirty hands all over it. Press TV reported that “Iran urged the Baghdad government to take all necessary measures to protect Tehran’s diplomatic missions in Iraq.”
Israeli persecution of Palestinians continues relentlessly — including more terror-bombing of Gaza on Wednesday, the highest of high crimes.
Palestinian protesters in the West Bank were attacked for opposing the Trump regime’s recognition of illegal settlements as Israeli territory.
There’s no joy to the world this holiday season in the Middle East or anywhere else where the US operates rapaciously.
