Lavrov: More Sanctions on Russia Over Nothing Not Surprising
Vladimir Putin, Sergey Lavrov, and other Russian officials are clearly furious about coming EU sanctions for what the West knows is the Navalny novichok poisoning hoax.
On Friday, Lavrov said the following:
“The fact that sanctions will be announced without any evidence and short of completing the investigation, which Germany and other EU countries insist on, does not surprise us.”
“We have seen this before when there was the Salisbury poisoning case.”
No evidence connects Russia to either incident. Yet its ruling authorities were falsely accused for whatever made the Skripals and Navalny ill.
Clearly it wasn’t novichok. The most deadly known toxin kills anyone exposed in minutes.
The Skripals (when last reported) were very much alive — prevented from speaking freely about their illness by UK police state policy.
Navalny as well largely recovered from his illness.
At least 20 Western nations have toxins derived from novichok, Russia’s Foreign Ministry explained.
Russia has none, nor any CWs, its entire arsenal of the latter eliminated in 2017.
According to Russia’s Foreign Ministry:
“As for the chemical warfare agent called novichok in the West, its structure and mass-spectrum were presented for the first time in 1998 in the spectral database of the American Standards Institute.”
“Subsequently, a whole family of toxic chemicals uncovered by the (Chemical Weapons Convention) emerged on the basis of the afore-mentioned compound.”
“Along with Americans, no less than 20 Western countries worked with them” — no doubt including Britain, France and Germany.
“Therefore, novichok is a purely Western brand.”
“It was synthesized and is available in those countries in 140 options.”
“We do not have it.”
Claims otherwise by the US, Germany, Britain, and other Western countries “are outrageous and do not stand up to scrutiny.”
“All that we want is to get legal, technical and organizational assistance both in the bilateral Russian-German format and at the OPCW venue in the interests of carrying out a comprehensive, unbiased and impartial probe into all the circumstances of what happened.”
“We want very much to know who is behind the anti-Russian provocation orchestrated from the very beginning.”
“In response, we get aggressive rhetoric and outright manipulation of the facts.”
“It is no less important to clarify quite specific details of this case.”
“These are the circumstances of the emergence and the exportation of a bottle from Russia, on which the traces of a chemical warfare agent were allegedly found, the possibility of questioning female citizen Pevchikh who accompanied Navalny and lives in Great Britain, and other very important applied aspects, including explanations for a message that the Omsk airport received from Germany about a bomb threat at the time when the airliner landed there with Navalny onboard.”
“We insist that Germany should honor its commitments under the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters and the protocols to it.”
“The German side must give explanations, despite its stubborn reluctance to do so.”
Lavrov is certain that Germany will continue stonewalling Russia’s demand for proof to corroborate accusations made — in cahoots with other EU and US dark forces.
What’s ongoing is all about Russian independence, its unwillingness to sacrifice its sovereign rights to US hegemonic interests.
No nations should operate Britain, Germany and others in the EU bloc — their sovereignty handed to a higher power in Washington.
