NYT War on Nations Free From US Imperial Control
On major issues mattering most, especially geopolitical ones, the NYT operates as a weapon of mass deception.
Specializing in state-approved managed news misinformation and disinformation, it serves Wall Street, the military, industrial, security complex, and other corporate interests.
It long ago abandoned truth-telling journalism the way it’s supposed to be.
Instead of “comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable,” it serves privileged interests over the general welfare and elements IF Stone once called “right-wing kooks.”
Whenever the US wages wars by hot or other means, Times editors and correspondents cheerlead what demands condemnation.
Their hostility toward Russia dates from its 1917 revolution.
Today it’s over Moscow’s defeat of the US imperial project in Syria and phony claims of election meddling to help Trump defeat Hillary and against Biden.
Whenever Times accusations surface against nations on the US target list for regime change, corroborating evidence is absent because none exists.
The Times and other establishment media make stuff up or repeat state-sponsored rubbish.
A fake news video is featured on its website. Claiming “Russia…undermine(d)” the 2016 US presidential election “with disinformation on social media” is a bald-faced Big Lie.
No evidence shows meddling in the US election process by any foreign nations — not in 2016, any time earlier, or in 2020.
Instead of explaining what no evidence can refute, the Times perpetuates one of the Big Lies of our times (pun intended).
“What are Iran and Russia up to,” it asked? Claims that either or both countries support Trump over Biden or the reverse is repeating state-sponsored fake news.
Not a shred of evidence suggests the involvement of either country or any others in the US election process.
In stark contrast, US dark forces interfere in scores of foreign elections worldwide, aiming to prevent independent governments from defeating pro-Western ones.
As well-informed news consumers know, the US targets all sovereign independent governments for regime change worldwide — by hot wars, color revolutions, old-fashioned coups, and other dirty tricks.
Monied interests run the US and other Western countries. Abhorrent of democratic rule, they tolerate it nowhere — not at home or abroad.
That’s been the American way at least since the mid-19th century, notably since WW II and especially post-9/11.
US war on humanity rages at home and abroad, supported by the Times and other establishment media, operating as mouthpieces for wealth, power, and privilege, the public interest be damned.
In response to days earlier Russian airstrikes against US/NATO/Turkish-supported jihadists in occupied northern Syria — killing and wounding hundreds — the Times lied like countless times before.
Citing an unnamed jihadist as its so-called source, it falsely claimed the aerial strikes “kill(ed) civilians harvesting olives,” along with saying “Turkish-backed rebel fighters” were targeted.
Left unexplained like countless times before, so-called “rebels” are cutthroat killer jihadists, proxy forces used against Syrian soldiers and civilians.
A follow-up Times Big Lie came next, falsely accusing Russia of “breach(ing)” a ceasefire agreement with Turkey.
Russian warplanes struck a jihadist camp that’s involved in shelling and other hostile actions against Syrian soldiers and civilians.
The airstrike indeed was a message to Ankara, the Erdogan regime hostile toward Syrian independence, along with seeking control over areas of the country bordering Turkey.
Will jihadists controlled by Erdogan step up strikes in Syria to retaliate against Russia?
His unacceptable actions make more enemies than allies, including France after saying Emmanuel Macron “needs treatment on a mental level.”
In response, France recalled its envoy to Turkey.
Erdogan also backs Azerbaijan’s war on Armenia for control of Nagorno-Karabakh — supplying Baku with heavy weapons and jihadist fighters, along with rejecting diplomatic conflict resolution.
His neo-Ottoman aims have proved largely self-defeating. Yet they persist.
The Times is also militantly hostile toward China, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and other countries free from US imperial control.
In one-sided support for Biden over Trump, its Wednesday edition included a fake news report claim that the former vice president intends to end longstanding US “bully dictating policy” in Latin America.
In 1823, the US Monroe Doctrine warned European countries not to interfere in the Western Hemisphere, saying “the American continents…are henceforth not to be considered as subjects for future colonization by any European powers.”
Theodore Roosevelt’s Monroe Doctrine Corollary asserted Washington’s right to control hemispheric affairs.
Since WW II under Republicans and Dems, US imperial policy has been all about controlling planet earth, its resources and populations — along with wanting challengers eliminated — no exceptions afforded Latin and Central American countries.
Independently governed ones are very much on the US target list for regime change no matter which right wing of one-party state runs things.
Throughout his near half-century as US senator and vice president, Biden has been a reliable spear-carrier for Washington’s imperial interests.
Longstanding US wars by hot and other means, along with other imperial adventurism, won’t miss a beat with him and Harris empowered if things turn out this way.
