NYT Mass Deception — Its Specialty
On domestic and geopolitical issues mattering most, the Times is a weapon of mass deception.
It’s a proliferator of fake news, a sworn enemy of truth-telling on vital issues — featuring yellow journalism over the real thing, the latter banned in its editions.
There are plenty of legitimate reasons to slam Trump and demand accountability for his wrongdoing.
Ignoring them, the Times invented dubious reasons to maintain a steady drumbeat of Trump bashing — including in its latest edition.
No evidence ever showed that Russia (or any other countries) meddled in US elections or conducted cyberattacks against the nation.
Not according to the self-styled newspaper of record Times.
After being briefed on an alleged Russian cyberattack, Trump debunked the claim as fake news.
“I have been fully briefed and everything is well under control,” he tweeted.
Separately, he called the alleged hack a “hoax.”
His remarks refuted Pompeo’s phony claims otherwise, infuriating the Times, saying:
Trump “(d)efi(ed) conclusions of experts (sic) inside and outside the government who say the attack was a cybersecurity breach on a scale Washington has never experienced (sic),” adding:
He “also played down the severity of the (alleged) hack (sic)…insisting that the news media has exaggerated the damage…”
He “made clear there would be no serious effort by his (regime) to punish Russia for the (alleged) hack.”
Left unexplained by the Times is that no evidence was presented to prove a hack occurred, nothing suggesting that Russia ever committed illegal or improper actions against the US, its imperial partners, or any other nations.
Adding insult to considerable injury, the Times dubiously claimed that the US government is infiltrated by “electronic tunnels bored by Russian intelligence” — a longstanding CIA, NSA, US Cyber Command specialty against the world community of nations and their leadership.
According to Law Professor Jack Goldsmith:
Washington has “no principled basis to complain about (an alleged) Russia hack, much less retaliate for it with military means, since the US government hacks foreign government networks on a huge scale every day.”
Separately, Times editors maintain the myth of US “democracy” — what hasn’t existed from inception, clearly not now.
Election 2020 was the latest example of US autocracy, hypocrisy, plutocracy, and election-rigging.
Democracy was nowhere in sight.
The Times pretends otherwise — part of its press agent services for powerful interests over journalism the way it’s supposed to be.
Looking ahead to Biden/Harris taking over from Trump, Times editors slammed what they called his “brazen obliteration of norms, the abundant examples of criminal behavior, the repeated corruption and abuses of power.”
Times opposition to Trump is unrelated to his most egregious high crimes and other wrongdoing, featuring invented ones alone — what it claimed damaged democracy in America that does not exist.
It also falsely claims that Election 2020 winner Trump lost, losers Biden/Harris won, part of its mass deception campaign against truth-telling.
“A majority of American voters… rejected (Trump’s) bid for another” term (sic), the Times roared.
Biden/Harris are selected, not elected. The Times and other establishment media pretend otherwise.
Besides inventing reasons to bash Trump and ignoring legitimate ones, the Times and other Big Media systematically suppressed damning information about Biden and his son Hunter.
Instead it published the following rubbish:
“It’s been four years since Americans lived under a president who placed the country’s well-being and security above his own personal interests.”
Since Trump declared his candidacy for president in June 2015, throughout the subsequent campaign, his defeat of Hillary, and nearly four years in office, the Times and other hostile media invented reasons to bash him.
They now pretend that losers Biden/Harris defeated winner Trump in November.
Instead of featuring all the news fit to report, managed news misinformation, disinformation, Big Lies, and fake news comprise their daily fare.
