Russian Foreign Ministry Straight Talk

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman

Straight talk information provided by Russia’s Foreign Ministry is polar opposite propaganda mass deception in virtually all official US remarks on key issues.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova (MZ below) commented on Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif’s upcoming visit to Moscow for talks with his counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

They’ll focus on vital issues that affect world peace and stability, including whether the incoming US Biden/Harris regime will return to the JCPOA Trump illegally withdrew from by Trump — based on Big Lies.

Joint energy and other economic initiatives will be discussed.

MZ: “Russian-Iranian relations continue to develop actively, as is evident from the intense and trust-based dialogue at the highest level.”

Both nations are strategic allies — united for world peace, stability, ad mutual cooperation among nations, polar opposite how the US and its imperial partners operate.

MZ slammed the Trump regime for falsely designating Cuba a state-sponsor of terrorism — what applies to the US, other Western nations, Israel, and their imperial partners in high crimes.

Calling the despicable US action “another absolutely unconstructive move,” MZ added:

What happened “is clear proof of Washington’s inability to conduct a consistent foreign policy based on objective reality and unbiased and substantiated assessments of current developments.”

The US is militantly hostile toward all nations free from its imperial control.

Cuba is a model society that’s polar opposite police state USA waging forever wars on humanity at home and abroad.

MZ: Big Lies reflect “Washington’s official policy.”

MZ noted that that America’s Guantanamo gulag has been around for nearly two decades — in spite of the Obama/Biden regime’s 2008 pledge to close it within one year after taking office.

They lied!

Despite annual world community calls for closure, the facility remains part of Washington’s gulag archipelago for political prisoners held worldwide — including at home.

MZ: At Guantanamo and other US gulag prisons, victims “are held in a complete legal vacuum.”

“No charges are brought against them, and they are denied access to competent, unbiased, fair and independent legal proceedings.”

“Cruel and inhuman treatment…is used on a systematic basis… torture…”

“Guantanamo prisoners die, frayed by the inhumane imprisonment conditions and interrogation methods.”

“(T)he real circumstances of their deaths are still unknown” — that constitute murder by other means.

US officials long ago abandoned the rule of law in pursuing their diabolical agenda at home and abroad.

MZ slammed Pompeo’s Big Lies about Russia by video message in Russian with no English translation — falsely accusing its ruling authorities of human rights abuses, a longstanding US specialty, not how the Russian Federation operates.

Pompeo’s hate-mongering tweets push similar Big Lies and mass deception about Russia and other nations on the US target list for regime change.

More than any of his predecessors, he devoted his tenure to wrecking US relations with Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Nicaragua, and other nonbelligerent nations threatening no one.

He also more greatly degraded Washington’s already infamous image on the world stage.

Pompeo is mindless of how destructive and counterproductive US policies have been worldwide.

Despite MZ’s expressed hope for improved Russian relations with the US under Biden/Harris, chances are virtually nil that things will turn out this way.

Most likely, bilateral relations will worsen, not improve.

In her latest weekly briefing, MZ debunked the US bald-faced Big Lie accusation of Russian hacking.

She slammed Germany for its anti-Russia propaganda and hostile actions.

She exposed Dutch funding of US created and supported ISIS and other terrorists in Syria.

She asked if the Trump regime will declare the Netherlands “a country that assists and finances terrorist organizations, as (was falsely done to) Cuba?”

Separately, MZ announced Moscow’s withdrawal from the Open Skies Treaty in response to the Trump’s pullout last November, saying:

Its action “destroyed the balance of interests of the State-Parties reached when the Treaty was signed, inflicted a severe damage to its functioning and undermined the role of the Open Skies Treaty as a confidence and security building measure,” adding:

Moscow’s “proposals consistent with the fundamental provisions of the treaty aimed at preserving its viability under the new circumstances” were ignored by Washington.

Its withdrawal from the treaty for phony reasons with no legitimacy was one of countless examples of its unacceptable imperial arrogance.

Much of the same is virtually certain when unelected Biden/Harris replace Trump in days.
