Blinken’s Head Fake Outreach to Iran

Blinken’s Head Fake Outreach to Iran

by Stephen Lendman ( – Home – Stephen Lendman)

Longstanding US policy toward Iran is all about wanting the country transformed into a pro-Western vassal state — its independence crushed, its resources plundered, its people exploited as serfs.

Since Iranians ended a generation of US imposed fascist tyranny in 1979, Washington’s agenda has been all about regaining imperial control of the country.

On Tuesday, Blinken falsely claimed that the Biden regime’s “path to diplomacy is open right now” with Iran on the JCPOA nuclear deal (sic), adding:

Tehran “is still a ways away from being in compliance. So we’ll have to see what it does, (sic).”

US “diplomacy” with nations free from its control is a code word for insisting on compliance with its demands — in return for hollow promises to be broken.

Since the landmark nuclear deal was agreed on in October 2015, affirmed by Security Council members in January 2016, Iran has complied fully with its provisions.

In stark contrast, the US, Britain, France and Germany never fully complied as required.

After Trump unlawfully abandoned the agreement in May 2018, the above E3 countries breached their obligations in similar fashion.

Like other US officials toward Iran, Blinken invented his own fabricated reality.

Actions by Biden, Blinken and likeminded regime hardliners showed they have no intention of returning to JCPOA compliance or shifting from maximum pressure on Iran to diplomatic engagement.

That’s where things stand with Biden on Iran — with no prospect of positive engagement with Iran, according to the rule of law.

Interviewed by National Pentagon Radio on Tuesday, Blinken and NPR pretended that Iran poses a potential nuclear threat.

It’s one of many geopolitical Big Lies in the US that refuse to die because Big Media propaganda like NPR disinformation keep pushing what the world community knows is rubbish.

Instead of raising the right issues, asking the right questions, and holding Blinken’s feet to the fire, NPR asked:

“How do you stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon (sic)?”

No such Iranian intention exists. Agreeing to the JCPOA by Iran was unrelated to this issue.

It was and remains Iran’s willingness to compromise with the US and West while sacrificing some of its fundamental rights in hopes of restoring normalized relations never achieved.

Duplicity defines US policy toward all nations free from its control.

For the past 42 years, Republicans and Dems have been implacably hostile toward Iran.

Biden’s agenda continues the same unbending hostility — why Tehran’s goal of normalized relations with the US and West remains unattainable.

Blinken falsely accused Iran of “lift(ing) (mandated JCPOA) restraints.”

He lied claiming that “today Iran is far closer to having the ability to produce fissile material for a weapon on short order than it was when the deal was enforced (sic),” adding:

Its “breakout time (to a bomb is) down to three or four months and heading in the wrong direction (sic).”

“And so…we have an incentive…to put Iran back in the nuclear box (sic).”

The above rubbish is Blinken’s reinvention of reality.

His hostile remarks and earlier ones show that Biden regime hardliners intend continuation of maximum pressure on Iran.

Endless US wars on humanity got Nobel laureate Harold Pinter to define its imperial rage as a policy that demands other nations to “kiss my arse or I’ll kick your head in.”

He said the above pre-9/11. Things are far worse today since the mother of all state-sponsored false flags occurred.

After Bush/Cheney’s launched aggression on Iraq in 2003, Pinter called what happened “a bandit act, an act of blatant state terrorism, demonstrating absolute contempt for the concept of international law,” adding:

The US “quite simply doesn’t give a damn about the UN, international law or critical dissent, which it regards as impotent and irrelevant.”

In March 2006, I titled an article: Warmaking 101, A User’s Manual.

It discussed US rage for endless wars on invented enemies since the mid-19th century.

Time and again, US regimes have been guilty of what the Nuremberg Tribunal said about Nazi Germany, accusing its ruling authorities as follows:

“To initiate a war of aggression…is not only an international crime, it is the supreme crime, differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.”

No nation in world history is more guilty of the above than the US — today waging forever wars by hot and/or other means against multiple nations threatening no one.

US war by unlawful sanctions and other dirty tricks rages against Iran — the region’s leading proponent of peace, stability and cooperative relations with other countries.

Biden’s domestic and geopolitical agendas have earmarks of exceeding the worst of his predecessor’s policies — while pretending to be charting a new course.

Implacable hostility toward all nations free from its control is hard-wired US policy under both right wings of its war party.

Actions and rhetoric by Biden and hardliners surrounding him show the regime has no intention of normalizing relations with Iran or fulfilling its JCPOA obligations.

The landmark agreement is effectively dead.

Trump’s pullout tried to kill it.

Biden is hellbent to finish it off while pretending otherwise — fooling no one paying attention.
