Netanyahu’s Bigoted Big Lies

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

Unindicted war criminal Netanyahu on trial for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust should have serial lying added to charges against him.

He belongs in prison, not high office. Israelis turn out in large numbers against him time and again.

He repeatedly defies reality about Iran. A litany of bald-faced Big Lies is his stock and trade, fooling no one paying attention.

On Thursday he was at it again, saying:

“We learn from history that if you only rely on an agreement, you’re mistaken (sic).”

“The only things that will slow or prevent Iran from attaining a nuclear weapon are a credible military threat and hard sanctions (sic).”

During his phone conversation with Biden days earlier, he reportedly said “I will do all I can, all that is within my ability to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon (sic).”

He, the West, and rest of the world community know that Iran banned development of nukes and wants them eliminated everywhere.

Israel’s longstanding open secret is well-known. It’s the region’s only nuclear armed and dangerous country.

It maintains illegal stockpiles of chemical, biological, and other banned weapons — used time and again against defenseless Gazans.

As long as the Jewish state exists along with US military occupation of Middle East countries, permanent wars of aggression will continue.

Mass slaughter, vast destruction, and immiseration of millions of people are their defining features.

In response to Netanyahu’s Big Lies about Iran, its Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh tweeted:

“Angry at losing his dupe in the White House, Netanyahu resorts to bigoted lies to conjure racist Iranophobia.”

“It must really hurt that his anti-Iran plots have come to naught yet again.”

“From saving Jews to opposing occupation, Iran has always fought oppressors. History doesn’t lie.”

According to Brown University’s Watson Institute, US aggression post-9/11 devastated tens of millions of people worldwide.

Millions were displaced or otherwise harmed, hundreds of thousands killed, nations raped and destroyed.

During Trump’s tenure, Pentagon forces conducted military operations in at least 85 countries, the Watson Institute reported.

According to its data, US aggression post-9/11 left 37 million people homeless and cost US taxpayers about $6.4 trillion.

Pentagon operations are a notorious black hole of waste, fraud and abuse. The true cost is far more than the above estimate.

The US spends more on militarism, warmaking, and so-called homeland security that the rest of the world combined — achieving nothing but mass slaughter, vast destruction and human misery worldwide.

The extent of the latter from US wars on humanity is incalculable.

Biden continues US war on humanity at home and abroad in cahoots with NATO and Israel.

Things are highly likely to worsen on his watch.

There’s virtually no chance for turning swords into plowshares or serving ordinary Americans instead of ruthlessly exploiting them.
