Interventionist Blinken Pushing for War on China?

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

Interventionist hawks in charge of the Biden regime’s geopolitical agenda risk setting the world ablaze by their recklessness.

At NATO headquarters in Brussels on Wednesday, pro-war/anti-peace/anti-cooperative relations with other countries Blinken called for collective action against China by alliance member states.

Sounding like a call to arms, he said the following:

“Whether it is tackling some of the new challenges like climate or the cyber realm, the rise of autocratic states and the challenges that they pose, we have a profound interest in doing it together, doing it collectively, relying on collective security, and that’s what NATO is all about (sic),” adding:

NATO should focus “on…challenges that China poses to the rules-based international order (sic).”

US-dominated NATO is all about smashing nations to control them as subservient vassal states.

The belligerent alliance has nothing to do with collective security at a time when the West’s only threats are invented.

No real ones exist — not from China, Russia, Iran, or other countries.

Nations on the US target list for regime change foster peace, stability, and cooperative relations with other countries, confrontation with none.

They refuse to sacrifice their sovereign independence to a higher power in Washington.

That’s why its ruling regimes wage war on them by hot and/or other means.

It’s all about wanting them controlled, their resources plundered, their populations exploited as serfs.

That’s what the scourge of US imperial is all about, other NATO countries tagging along as subservient vassals to their US master — harming their own self-interest by bowing to Washington’s will.

Blinken and EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell agreed to harden their anti-China/anti-Russia/anti-peace alliance.

On Wednesday, China’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying slammed EU sanctions, saying:

“EU imposed sanctions on relevant Chinese individuals and entity under the pretext of the so-called human right issues in Xinjiang (were based on) lies and disinformation.”

“It is the EU side that initiated groundless provocations first. China was only making just and justified reactions.”

“The European side willfully smeared and attacked China, and even wantonly imposed sanctions on the basis of disinformation, but wouldn’t allow China to make responses and reactions.”

“This in itself is double standards, which is bullying and hypocritical.”

“China does not provoke trouble, but we will not flinch from provocations or be blackmailed by others.”

“China does not accept some EU countries’ unjustifiable moves of summoning Chinese ambassadors.”

“Our diplomats have already stated China’s stern position and lodged stern representation.”

“The EU cannot talk about cooperation on one hand and impose sanctions to harm China’s rights and benefits on another. This is unreasonable and would lead to nowhere.”

The above remarks apply to US war on China by other means.

Separately, Hua stressed that Sino/Russian relations are “growing ever stronger.”

Both countries “are true partners and friends,” working cooperatively with each other, respecting each other’s sovereign rights.

Together, they foster “new impetus (for) stability (and) world peace.”

Their agenda is polar opposite how the US-dominated West operates.

On Thursday, China’s official People’s Daily broadsheet slammed the US and other Western countries for “fabricating lies and spreading rumors about” Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, adding:

It’s a “vicious tactic under the name of the so-called human rights to contain China’s development and undermine the country’s security and stability.”

Xinjiang-related issues are not human rights issues at all.”

“They are in essence about countering violent terrorism, radicalization and separatism.”

“There have never been such things as ‘genocide,’ ‘forced labor,’  or ‘religious oppression’ in the autonomous region.”

US-led Western war on China by other means risks turning hot if hardline extremists in these countries push things too far.
