Russophobic Media Rage

Russophobic Media Rage

by Stephen Lendman ( – Home – Stephen Lendman)

Other than while WW II was ongoing and during its lost 1990s decade under Boris Yeltsin, Western Russia bashing has been relentless for over a century.

It’s been at a fever pitch since Biden replaced Trump illegitimately by brazen election fraud.

Since February, Biden regime hardliners in cahoots with their Western partners transformed US-colonized Ukraine into the world’s top hot spot.

Stoking conflict by Ukrainian conscripts against Donbass along Russia’s border risks embroiling Europe’s heartland in full-scale war for the first time since WW II ended over 75 years ago.

Instead of calling for restoration of peace and stability in multiple US war theaters, establishment media cheerlead what demands condemnation.

They’re militantly hostile toward all things Russia, a nonbelligerent nation threatening no one.

The NYT operates as a virtual press  agent for US dark forces — supporting their high crimes at home and abroad, demonizing their enemies.

Defying reality, the Times falsely accused Moscow of “trying to intimidate the Ukrainian government (sic)” — installed and controlled by the US after the Obama/Biden’s 2014 coup, it consistently leaves unexplained.

US-dominated NATO and their Ukrainian proxies bear full responsibility for escalated conflict in Europe’s heartland.

Separately, the Times said about to be announced Biden regime sanctions on Russia aim “to cut deeper than previous efforts to punish Russia.”

Left unexplained by the Times and other establishment media is that unilaterally imposed sanctions by one country on others flagrantly breach the UN Charter and other international law.

Nor do they explain that they’re for invented reasons. No legitimate ones exist to justify what’s clearly unjustifiable.

US accusations against Russia and other nations free from its imperial grip are baseless.

Russophobic WaPo falsely accused Moscow of threatening Ukraine by “increasing its military presence in the region (sic).”

In stark contrast to globally deployed US forces in parts of the world where they don’t belong, Russia’s “increase(d) military presence” is in its own territory, threatening no one.

WaPo repeated long ago debunked Big Lies about (nonexistent) Russian “aggression (and) annex(ing) Crimea (sic).”

It falsely suggested that Moscow is planning an “invasion of Ukraine (sic).”

Russophobic London Guardian editors falsely accused Putin of “menac(ing)” Ukraine and  “defy(ing) (the) international” order (sic) — a US-dominated, Israeli speciality, polar opposite how Moscow operates.

Guardian editors lied, saying Putin aims to “seiz(e) territory that was once in the Soviet Union (sic),” adding:

“(T)he Kremlin relies on military posturing, cyber-espionage and geopolitical mischief to prove that it cannot be ignored (sic).”

“That dynamic poses an immediate threat to the sovereignty of Ukraine and a recurrent challenge to its allies (sic).”

No responsible editors would touch the above rubbish.

Russophobic Guardian editors featured it — their litany of bald-faced Big Lies typical of how they consistently deceive readers.

The same debauched standard applies to virtually all establishment media — spreading fake news, suppressing what’s important for everyone to know.

No “peril” to Ukraine and Eastern Europe exists from Russia, no planned “Kremlin territorial aggression.”

Separately, Sergey Lavrov slammed unacceptable EU sanctions on Iranian officials “for alleged human rights violations” — that were invented as part of the bloc’s war on Tehran in cahoots with the US.

Their action “raises many questions,” said Lavrov, calling the move “a disaster” or a “mistake” that’s “worse than a crime,” adding:

“(W)e condemn any attempts to undermine the process that is unfolding with difficulty in Vienna between all the participants in the JCPOA.”

“All unilateral sanctions imposed by Washington in direct violation of the JCPOA must, of course, be lifted.”

The same goes for lifting all illegal US “restrictions imposed on foreign companies for their cooperation with Iran.”

By going along with unacceptable US policies toward Iran, the EU is following “the same downward path, and is replacing legitimate methods with unilateral moves (that) must end.”

Britain and EU bloc countries operate as virtual US colonies.

Both right wings of the US war party are militantly hostile toward Russia, China, Iran, and other independent countries unwilling to sell their souls to a higher power in Washington.

Belligerent Biden regime hardliners threaten to make a bad situation much worse.

Conflict they’re stoking along Russia’s border with Ukraine risks embroiling Europe’s heartland in full-scale war.

Establishment media consistently support US-led aggression instead of condemning what flagrantly breaches the rule of law.
