Blinken Bashes Russia and China on European Trip

Blinken Bashes Russia and China on European Trip

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

Blinken arrived in London Sunday, his first stop before heading to Kiev.

Talks focus on maintaining a state of war by other means on Russia, China, and other nations free from US imperial control.

According to Russia’s Sergey Lavrov, Moscow offered to normalize relations with the incoming Biden regime.

Knowing the futility of his good faith outreach to hegemon USA, he extended it anyway, how Russia operates on the world stage.

Its way is polar opposite US rage to control planet earth, its resources and populations — by smashing other nations or cowing them into submission to Washington’s interests even at the expense of their own.

Sino/Russian/US relations are near the breaking point because of escalated Biden regime toughness.

According to Lavrov, what’s going on between Russia and the US complicate the lives of our citizens.”

Disagreements also “put international security at serious risk, in the broadest sense of the word.”

Biden’s national security advisor Jake Sullivan defended the indefensible, saying:

Anti-Russia steps taken were “proportionate measures (sic) to defend American interests in response to harmful Russia actions including cyber intrusions and election interference (sic).”

Like earlier hostile actions by the US, the latest ones were for invented reasons. No legitimate ones exist.

According to Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the goal of the hostile to peace Biden regime is “reaching absolute dominance in the military arena,” adding:

It wants “Russia’s nuclear deterrent devalu(ed), (while) focus(ing) on creation of a global missile defense system” in preparation for greater wars of aggression than already.

Biden defied reality by saying “we don’t seek escalation” on the world stage while his regime’s hardliners push the envelope recklessly toward possible confrontation with Russia and China.

According to the State Department, Blinken arrived in London Sunday to meet with Boris Johnson regime officials and attend a May 3 – 5 G7 meeting.

Officials from Australia, India, South Africa, South Korea and Brunei are attending sessions as guests.

On May 5 and 6, Blinken will meet with Ukrainian puppet president Zelensky and other members of his regime in Kiev, where according to State Department propaganda:

He’ll “reaffirm unwavering US support for (the Nazi-infested fascist regime’s) sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of (nonexistent) Russia(n) aggression.”

On Sunday, Voice of America (VOA), it’s most well-known global propaganda operation, specializing in demonizing invented US enemies in dozens of languages on television, radio and online commented on Blinken’s European trip, saying:

He’ll meet with his G7 counterparts and invited guests. Ministerial talks are ahead of planned summit talks in June among leaders of G7 nations.

According to Britain’s state-owned and controlled BBC propaganda operation, Blinken slammed China and Russia for aggression and homeland repression (sic).

It’s how the US and its imperial partners operate at home and abroad, not countries on their target list for regime change.

In response to escalated US-led Western war on Russia by other means, its Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the following over the weekend:

Moscow is working to counter their hostile policies, including illegal sanctions, adding:

Estimates of financial damage amount to “hundreds of billions of dollars.”

“(T)he reality of our time has been the increased use of politically motivated unilateral measures by some Western states, mainly the US.”

“We see the sanctions against Russia more and more as a ‘gesture of desperation’ due to the inability of elites to accept the new realities, abandon their collective groupthink, and recognize Russia’s right to determine its own development path (to) build relations with” other nations.

The US and its imperial partners refuse to accept Russian economic “successes (that include) increase(d) international competitiveness and the expansion of the presence of quality Russian goods and services on world markets.”

Separately last month, Sergey Lavrov slammed the US “mission… to limit the technological development opportunities of both the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.”

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said in response to hostile US actions, nations are developing alternative ways to conduct financial transactions, including by trade in their own currencies, bypassing the dollar.

Zakharova said “a gradual departure from the US-centric configuration of the global monetary system” already began.

Russia and other nations are taking “coordinated steps in this direction…to minimize economic damage from…restrictive measures by (US-dominated) Western countries.”

Weeks earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said Moscow “need(s) to barricade (itself) against the US financial and economic system to eliminate dependence on this toxic source of permanent hostile actions.”

“We need to cut back the role of the dollar in any operations.”

Russia seeks cooperative relations with other nations in stark contrast to Washington’s sought global dominance.

Russia’s way is the only way for international relations to be “sustainable” in an environment of peace and stability, Zakharova stressed.
