Blaming Palestinians for Israeli Terror-Bombing Crimes
Blaming victims is longstanding US/Western/Israeli policy. The same goes for their press agent media.
Israel is to Palestinians what Nazi Germany was to Jews – their ruling regimes treating unwanted people as subhumans, forcing them to endure virtually every type indignity, degradation and crime against humanity imaginable.
Palestinians and Israeli Arab citizens are discriminated against in virtually all aspects of their lives.
Numerous laws unjustifiably justify what the worst of apartheid is all about, promoting Jewish ethnic superiority, inciting racist hatred of Arabs.
Former UN Special Human Rights Rapporteur for Occupied Palestine, Richard Falk, earlier said the following:
“(T)he crime of apartheid (against) the Palestine people should be taken with the utmost seriousness by all those who affirm human solidarity and care about making visible the long ordeal of a suffering and vulnerable people.”
Yet Israel remains unaccountable for nearly three generations of war on millions of Palestinians by hot and/or other means.
International law affirms the right of oppressed people to resist against what no one should tolerate.
The only security threats faced by US/Western countries and Israel are invented. No real ones exist.
Israel faced no regional or other security threats since the October 1973 Yom Kippur war ended.
Yet it perpetuates the myth of barbarians at and within the gates, posing an existential threat when none exists.
Establishment media have been one-sidedly pro-Israel and largely indifferent or hostile toward Palestinians throughout Jewish state history.
There’s no ambiguity about Israel’s responsibility for ongoing aggression against Gazans and state-sponsored West Bank/East Jerusalem violence.
Establishment media pretend otherwise.
Long ago, I said no responsible editors would touch the type rubbish turned out by Times propagandist Thomas Friedman.
It’s some of the worst yellow journalism the broadsheet features.
Getting things wrong is one of his specialties, wrapped in a litany of bald-faced Big Lies — what fills daily Times propaganda editions on virtually all major domestic and geopolitical issues.
Commenting on Israeli aggression against Gaza, Friedman invented his own fabricated reality by falsely comparing daily IDF terror-bombing of the Strip to last January 6 events on Capitol Hill, saying:
“Just as a mob was unleashed by (DJT) to ransack our Capitol on Jan. 6 in a last-ditch effort to overturn the election results (sic) and prevent a healing unifier from becoming president (sic), so Bibi and Hamas each exploited or nurtured their own mobs to prevent an unprecedented national unity government from emerging in Israel (sic).”
The above is typical Friedman rubbish.
No Trump-supported “mob” stormed Capitol Hill last January.
What happened was an anti-Trump false flag to elevate Biden illegitimately to power by ending a DJT-led GOP challenge to brazen election rigging.
Hostile to Trump elements infiltrated largely nonviolent Trump protesters.
They got access to Capitol Hill after police and federal law enforcers opened barricades surrounding it, letting them enter the building for pre-planned disruption and violence inside.
Wrongfully blaming Trump for what happened was all about smoothing the way for Biden to replace him illegitimately.
Hamas officials abhor violence. When used it’s in justifiable self-defense.
In January 2006 — the last time a democratic Palestinian election was held — it decisively won a legislative majority.
Israel prevented its elected officials from holding the offices they won, earlier installing Mahmoud Abbas as illegitimate Palestinian president in 2004.
He illegally remains in office, serving Israeli interests at the expense of millions of Palestinians he long ago betrayed for special benefits the Jewish state affords him.
None of the above is explained in Times editions, notably not in Friedman’s columns.
Defying reality, he falsely claimed that Netanyahu and Hamas keep power “by inspiring and riding waves of hostility to the other (sic).”
In stark contrast to genocidal high crimes by Israeli regimes from inception, Hamas prioritizes peace, stability, and long-denied liberation for Occupied Palestinians.
Current violence escalated after Israeli security forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked worshipers.
At the same time, Israeli violence against defenseless Palestinians occurs multiple times daily throughout the Occupied Territories by design.
What the Times and Friedman ignore is crucially important to explain.
From mid-April to now, Israel and extremist settlers escalated violence against Palestinian civilians who have little more than rocks, bottles and their redoubtable spirit for protection.
Israel bears full responsibility for what’s going on, including preemptive full-scale war on Gaza for the fourth time since December 2008.
WaPo editors invented a fabricated scenario similar to Friedman’s, falsely saying the following:
Hamas began “firing rockets at Jerusalem and deliberately crossing an Israeli red line (after) Abbas postponed a promised election (sic).”
“That, in turn, handed (Netanyahu) a chance to” terror-bomb Gaza after “fail(ing) to form a new government.
Clearly he hopes ongoing aggression against Gaza will help him retain power.
Hamas retaliated against Israeli West Bank/East Jerusalem violence — notably after Netanyahu’s security forces preemptively stormed the Al-Aksa Mosque and attacked worshipers inside.
Its actions were unrelated to a postponed election.
Israel prevents a free, fair and open process to assure its choice for leadership prevails.
Wall Street Journal editors urged the Biden regime “to give Israel time to” smash Gaza and massacre more Strip civilians than already.
Like other establishment media, it falsely blamed Hamas for preemptive Israeli aggression.
Its editors mocked Palestinian suffering and devastation of the Strip by falsely claiming that “Hamas plays up the civilian casualties (sic), and the world leans on Israel to stop defending itself (sic).”
There’s nothing defensive about preemptive aggression by the region’s most powerful (nuclear armed) military against lightly armed Hamas defenders and civilians in harm’s way.
Commenting on Israel’s destruction of Gaza’s Al-Jalaa building on Saturday that was home to Palestinian families and international media offices — wanting them silenced — Journal editors defended the IDF’s war crime, falsely saying:
“Using civilians and journalists as shields is a common Hamas tactic (sic)” — citing no evidence because there is none.
In sharp contrast, Israel notoriously uses Palestinians as human shields in war theaters.
After its 2008-09 Cast Lead aggression against Gaza, testimonies of former IDF soldiers-turned Breaking the Silence refusniks said Israeli forces “advanc(ed) into houses, using (Palestinians) as human shields” to check for booby-traps and for other purposes.
Ignoring mass slaughter and destruction in Gaza so far, Journal editors further turned truth on its head — falsely claiming “how far Israel has gone in this conflict to avoid killing civilians (sic),” adding:
“(I)t’s remarkable how discriminating Israel’s targeting has been (sic).”
In all its preemptive wars of aggression, Israel willfully massacres civilians.
According to former IDF General Gabi Eisenkot, Israeli forces “apply disproportionate force at the heart of the enemy’s weak spot (civilians) and cause great damage and destruction.”
“From our standpoint, these are not civilian villages (towns or cities).”
“They are military bases. This is not a recommendation. This is a plan. And it has been approved.”
On Monday, Palestinian writer Tamara Nassar said the following:
Sunday night IDF terror-bombing “obliterated multiple generations of families when it bombed their homes in Gaza,” adding:
“Around 1 am, Israeli warplanes launched a savage bombing campaign lasting at least an hour, firing 50 missiles at the area surrounding al-Wihda street in Gaza City.”
“The death toll from the attack has risen to 42, including 10 children and 16 women. Fifty more were wounded.”
The Journal’s perverted claim about “how discriminating Israel’s targeting has been” won’t restore life to the area’s massacred victims or return dismembered bodies to their pre-attack form.
