Israel Asks US for $1 Billion in “Emergency” Military Aid

Israel already gets at least $3.8 billion in annual US military aid — courtesy of US taxpayers who have no say over how their taxes are spent.

According to Senator Lindsey Graham on Tuesday, Israel will ask the Biden regime for an additional $1 billion handout to replenish its Iron Dome air defense system, as well as for more precision-guided missiles and other terror weapons, Graham saying:

An additional $1 billion to the Jewish state “will be a good investment for the American people (sic).”

“I will make sure in the Senate that they get the money.”

He added that while Israel’s government may change in the coming days, “one thing (that) won’t change is the relationship between Israel and the US.”

In 2016 when the Obama/Biden regime agreed to provide Israel with $3.8 billion annually for 10 years, it also agreed to provide additional “emergency” funding on request.

Last month, Biden’s impersonator promised to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome, saying:

Netanyahu “shared with me his appreciation for the Iron Dome system, which our nations developed together,” adding:

“I assured him of my full support to replenish Israel’s Iron Dome system to ensure its defenses and security in the future” — at a time when its only enemies are invented, he failed to explain.

Expressing support for “Israel’s right to defend itself” ignored preemptive Jewish state war on besieged Gazans for the fourth time in May since December 2008.

Dominant US hardliners are indifferent toward the rights and well-being of ordinary people everywhere, especially at home.

Whatever Israel wants, Congress is  virtually certain to approve.

On Thursday, Israeli war minister Benny Gantz will meet with his US counterpart Lloyd Austin and national security advisor Jake Sullivan in Washington.

Talks reportedly will focus on “emergency” US military aid for Israel and the JCPOA — what Jewish state hardliners want the Biden regime to reject rejoining.

On June 1, Dem Senators Van Hollen, Kaine, Murphy, Merkley, Leahy, Schatz, Sanders, Warren, Markey, Warnock, Brown, Heinrich, Reed, Murray, Whitehouse, Shaheen and Hassan urged Blinken to demand that Israel let materials needed for reconstruction and humanitarian aid enter Gaza unobstructed.

Qatar and other countries pledged funds to help Gazans rebuild what Israeli terror-bombing and shelling destroyed, along with vitally needed humanitarian aid.

The Netanyahu regime said it won’t allow reconstruction to begin unless Hamas releases remains of IDF soldiers killed during Israel’s summer 2014 Operation Protective Edge aggression on the Strip.

By letter to Blinken, the above senators said Gazan border crossings must be reopened “so that critical humanitarian personnel can enter and that fuel and building materials can be brought in to address the growing needs of the civilian population.”

They called for restoration of US humanitarian funding for Gazans to pre-Trump regime levels.

They also pressed Blinken to insist that Israel lift movement restrictions on Gazans requiring medical treatment and to visit relatives.

It’s “critical that we improve the dire conditions in Gaza” at a time of vitally needed humanitarian aid, they said.

Dominant US hardliners from both right wings of its war party never gave hoot about Palestinian rights earlier and don’t now.

It’s just a matter of time before Israel again invents a pretext to smash Gaza again.

When launched, expect most world community nations to largely look the other way again, refusing to demand accountability for crimes of war, against humanity and slow-motion genocide too serious to ignore.
