NYT Gratuitous Sino/Russia Bashing
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)
Ahead of Independence Day hypocrisy weekend — a time long ago when everything changed but stayed the same under new management, how the framers planned it — the Times ignored what today we’d call a Wall Street crowd.
The framers included bankers, merchants, planters, ship owners, lawyers, politicians, judges, slave owners and traders, speculators, smugglers, privateers, and other type wheeler-dealers.
“We the people,” meant them, the nation’s privileged class, not us, how things are today.
The framers created a government of men, not laws.
Property owners alone had rights, ordinary people used, not served.
Government of, by and for the people was doublespeak.
The same goes today under fantasy democracy, the real thing abhorred and tolerated nowhere.
On Friday, the Times bashed nonbelligerent China, falsely accusing its military of constructing scores of ICBM missile silos to “strengthen its strategic nuclear capability (sic),” threatening the region and US (sic).
No credible evidence suggests it, as discussed in a previous day’s article, nothing “concerning” about what’s going on by a nation at peace with others, threatening none, polar opposite how hegemon USA and its imperial partners operate — waging endless war on humanity at home and abroad.
Separately on July 1, the Times bashed Russia.
Repeating phony accusations of “ransomware attacks” on US targets, no evidence was cited like always before because there is none.
More false charges followed, citing US and UK intelligence agencies, claiming what they called “a global effort by Russia’s military intelligence organization to spy on government organizations, defense contractors, universities and media companies (sic)” — no evidence supporting the above.
Yet the Biden and Johnson regimes falsely accused Moscow of “hack(ing) into the Democratic National Committee (sic) and releas(ing) emails in an effort to influence the 2016 presidential election in favor of Donald J. Trump (sic).”
What the Times called “revelations” is US/UK Russia-bashing propaganda rubbish.
The self-styled newspaper of record — a notorious longstanding lying machine — falsely accused Russia of “harboring criminal groups” to harm US interests (sic).
No evidence suggests Russian cyberattacks or other hostile attacks on anyone.
Putin correctly accused the US of being the world’s leading cyberattacker — against nations free from its control.
Russia’s US embassy debunked phony US cyberattack accusations, saying:
“We strictly deny the involvement of Russian government agencies in attacks ‘on government and private facilities in the United States and abroad,’ ” adding:
“(I)t’s high time to put things in order on the American soil, from where constant attacks on critical infrastructure in Russia emerge.”
“(F)ighting against cybercrime is an inherent priority for Russia and an integral part of its state policy to combat all forms of crime.”
There’s virtually no chance to fulfill Russia’s “hope that the American side will abandon the practice of unfounded accusations and focus on professional work with Russian experts to strengthen international information security.”
Time and again, US regimes falsely accuse other governments of things they had nothing to do with — notably targeting Russia, China and Iran by making stuff up.
Virtually all nations on the US target list for regime change prioritize peace, cooperative relations with other countries, as well as compliance with UN Charter principles and other international law.
In stark contrast, hegemon USA and its imperial partners defy the above standards by waging forever wars on humanity by hot and/or other means worldwide.
What the Times and other establishment media should explain, they suppress — featuring fake news instead.
A Final Comment
On July 1, the FBI, NSA, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and UK’s National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) released a phony cybersecurity advisory.
It falsely accused Russian military intelligence of “malicious cyber activities…against the US and global organizations…from at least mid-2019 through early 2021 (sic).”
Not a shred of evidence was presented to support the fabricated accusations because there is none.
The above US/UK agencies lied, claiming Russia used “brute force (sic) to penetrate government and private sector victim networks (sic),” adding:
Alleged targets include “government and military (sic), defense contractors (sic), energy companies (sic), higher education (sic), logistics companies (sic), law firms (sic), media companies (sic), political consultants (sic), political parties (sic), and think tanks (sic).”
All of the above reflects longstanding US war on Russia by other means with no chance that either wing of the US war party and the above agencies of changing their wicked ways.
