Russia’s Gloves Coming Off?

Do Russian officials henceforth intend dealing with the US-dominated West in the only language their regimes understand?
Is Moscow’s Mr. nice guy approach to the West shifting to toughness as required to defend its sovereign rights?
Sergey Lavrov stressed that Vladimir Putin publicly “made it clear…that achieving results (in dealing with the US and West) is only possible through finding a mutually acceptable balance of interests on a strictly equal basis.”
Putin’s no-summit/summit with Biden’s double achieved nothing positive.
US officials continue to “lectur(e)”Moscow unacceptably, a language its government rejects, notably with new illegal US sanctions planned — weapons of war by other means.
“Attempts to conduct dialogue with us from a position of strength are doomed to fail,” Lavrov stressed, adding:
“We will respond harshly and decisively to unfriendly actions.”
“One should interact honestly if Washington really wants stable and predictable, as they put it, relations.”
At the same time, Moscow has no illusions about normalizing relations with hegemon USA.
Almost straightaway after Geneva talks last month, hostile Biden regime rhetoric toward Moscow resumed.
On Tuesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov warned US/Western regimes against another hostile breach of its territory, saying the following:
“(P)rovocateurs must be treated very directly and objectively,” adding:
“It must be explained to them why, next time, they’d be better off leaving their provocations aside and not coming here, because they will get a punch in the nose.”
He referred to last month’s joint US/UK Black Sea provocation in Russian territorial waters by Britain’s HMS Defender.
At the time, Russia’s UK embassy said the warship transformed itself into the “HMS Provocateur.”
Perhaps a “punch in the nose” in response to a repeat incident will involve sinking an intruding vessel by Russia to defend its territory.
If occurs, the US-dominated West will clearly understand.
Time and again, Putin stressed that Moscow seeks cooperative relations with other nations on a level playing field, adding:
“Talking to Russia from a position of strength is meaningless.”
Unacceptable “deterrence…was not invented yesterday.”
“It has been conducted towards our country for decades.”
“Every time somebody considers Russia is becoming too powerful and independent, such instruments are turned on immediately.”
Recalling how Russian forces smashed Nazi Germany’s Wehrmacht during its Great Patriotic War, Putin stressed that “(e)veryone should remember” what happened.
Moscow prioritizes strength for self-defense, not aggression like US-dominated NATO operates.
On Tuesday, Russia’s US embassy responded to baseless accusations about hacking “computer systems of the Republican National Committee,” adding:
“We strongly reject such fabrications.”
“The (RNC) denied (that a) cyber attack” occurred.
“There is no evidence” of one.
Lack of it never deters US/Western media of accusing Russia and other countries free from hegemonic control of all sorts of things they had nothing to do with.
On Tuesday, the NYT defied reality like countless times before by falsely accusing Russia of “attempt(ing) (to) hack” the RNC (sic),” adding:
“(B)reach of a Republican National Committee contractor (was) also linked to Russia (sic), (as well as) ransomware attacks (sic).”
These “incidents…are testing (bilateral) red lines (sic).”
According to unnamed “investigators…the culprit was Russia’s SVR intelligence agency (sic).”
According to GOP officials, reports accusing Russia of hacking the RNC are “not true,” spokeswoman Danielle Alvarez stressed/
Spokesman Mike Reed said there’s “no indication the RNC was hacked or any RNC information was stolen.”
Nor does any evidence link Moscow to ransomware attacks.
Reports by the Times and other establishment media were fabricated.
The same holds for how they invent their own fake news reality on virtually all major issues.
