House Dems Call for Illegally Sanctioning Nearly Three Dozen Russians

US war on Russia by other means rages with no prospect of easing ahead — because of its freedom from hegemon USA’s control.

Things escalated after undemocratic Dems usurped power.

An amendment to the overwhelmingly House adopted US FY 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) calls for sanctioning 35 Russians — based on invented accusations, politicized ones.

Added by Dem Rep. Tom Malinowski, it targets Russian and business officials, as well as truth-telling journalists.

Falsely accusing them of corruption and human rights abuses, no corroborating evidence was cited because there is none.

Inclusion of the amendment followed phony accusations of irregularities during Russian lower house State Duma September 17 – 19 elections.

It also included fabricated charges of poisoning and other abuses against CIA asset, Western media darling, political nobody Navalny.

Imprisoned for 2.8 years, it’s for multiple breaches of his earlier suspended sentence.

An unregistered US foreign agent, he’s also guilty of sedition and embezzlement of millions of dollars for self-enrichment.

Russian individuals targeted for sanctioning Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Central Election Commission chief Ella Pamfilova, Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich, Rosneft chairman Igor Sechin, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, FSB director Alexander Bortnikov, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, among others.

He dismissed phony accusations against him, calling Malinowski’s amendment part of “internal parliamentary exercises,” adding:

“The fact that in Congress, in various commissions, there are a huge number of people who are poorly versed in Russian reality and at the same time fiercely do not like our country is not a secret to anyone.”

Provisions of Malinowski’s amendment that target Russia have nothing to do with “defend(ing) human rights,” everything to do with forever-bashing the country for politicized reasons.

They include the following:

Requiring the White House “to submit a determination on sanctions for the 35 top Russian corrupt officials named by (Navalny’s phony claim that they) help prop up (President) Putin’s abuse(s) (sic) and shadow wars around the world (sic).”

You can’t make this stuff up. The above apply overwhelmingly to hegemon USA and its imperial partners, clearly not Russia.

Malinowski’s amendment includes accusations against other nations, while remaining silent about the highest of high crimes committed by both wings of the US war party at home and abroad.

He dubiously said that hegemon USA “will not stand with those who repress their people and violate basic human rights” — a longstanding US, NATO, Israeli specialty.

On Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on Malinowski’s amendment, saying:

“Only people having no idea whatsoever about the Russian realities could make up this list of people in relation to the topic to which none of them bears or can bear any direct or indirect relationship.”

“We would once again want to warn Washington against a thoughtless move on the sanction track.”
