The sole obstacle to normalizing bilateral relations is Iran’s independence from US hegemonic control.
Longstanding undeclared US war on the Islamic Republic is also in deference to apartheid Israel’s aim for unchallenged regional dominance — along with the regional presence of Pentagon forces and CIA operatives.
US/Israeli hostility toward Iran has nothing to do with national security of either country.
It’s well-known that the Islamic Republic threatens no other countries — except in self-defense if attacked, the UN Charter right of all nations.
No Iranian “destabilizing activities” exist regionally or elsewhere, as Biden regime State Department fake news claimed.
Destabilization, forever wars and operating extrajudicially is how the US, NATO, Israel and their imperial partners operate, not Iran.
According to the Tehran Times on Sunday:
“Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian told a televised program on Saturday night that if the (Biden regime) is ‘serious’ about reviving the 2015 nuclear deal it should (release) at least 10 billion dollars of Iranian assets (illegally frozen) in foreign banks.”
While in New York last month for the 76th UN General Assembly session, the Biden regime tried contacting him through “intermediaries” he said.
According to Reuters, he called for releasing illegally frozen Iranian assets by the US as a show of good will — an attribute its ruling class shuns at home and abroad, especially toward nations free from its control.
Over the weekend, the Biden regimes State Department failed to respond to Amirabdollahian’s request — a show of bad will, not the other way around.
Separately on Saturday, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the following:
“As (JCPOA) coordinator, I have always been clear.”
“We must go back to full implementation of the deal, which means a return of the US into the agreement with the lifting of (its illegal) sanctions and Iran’s full compliance with its nuclear commitments” it never diverged from, adding:
“It is crucial to resume negotiations in Vienna as soon as possible and from where we left off on June 20.”
The US and E3 have remained in flagrant breach of their JCPOA obligations since Trump illegally pulled out of the deal in May 2018.
Biden regime hardliners and complicit E3 partners categorically reject returning to compliance as unanimously affirmed by Security Council Res. 2231.
Their unbending position rendered the landmark agreement dead — no matter how many more rounds of talks are held in Vienna or anywhere else.
Whenever held or for how long, diplomacy with US regimes is a colossal waste of time.
Whatever they agree to, if anything, is consistently breached.
The pattern has repeated for time immemorial throughout US history.
Chance of a policy change in dealings with the most ruthless regime of all-time empowered in Washington is virtually nil.
Iranian officials know what they’re up against.
While willing to resume JCPOA talks, they’re under no illusion of an equitable outcome according to the rule of law in dealing with hegemon USA directly or indirectly on any issues.
A virtual US state of war by hot and/or other means exists against all nations from its control.
It’s been this way throughout the post-WW II period.
Nothing in prospect suggests a change of policy ahead.
Just the opposite is highly likely, especially on all things related to China, Russia and Iran.
