Franklin Roosevelt reportedly called Nicaraguan despot Anastasio Somoza “a son of a bitch, but he’s our son of a bitch.”
A quote attributed to Harry Truman called him “a bastard, but he’s our bastard.”
FDR’s secretary of state Cordell Hull reportedly said much the same thing about Dominican Republic dictator Rafael Trujillo.
The above applies to ISIS, al Qaeda and likeminded jihadists — serving as US-dominated NATO proxy foot soldiers in nations where deployed by the Pentagon and CIA.
Their mission is all about advancing US imperial aims, the human toll of no consequence.
Weeks earlier, multiple blasts occurred outside Kabul’s airport.
Over 100 deaths were reported, many others injured, mostly civilians.
According to the Taliban, 28 of its members were killed.
Warning that the toll may rise, US sources reported the deaths of 13 Pentagon troops, including 11 marines, another 18 wounded.
AP News said multiple blasts occurred “after Western officials warned of a major attack, urging people to leave the airport…advice…largely unheeded.”
On its Amaq news channel, US-supported ISIS claimed responsibility for the blasts, suggesting more of the same ahead.
Were they orchestrated and directed by their US handlers with continuing endless war on Afghanistan and its people in mind?
According to a spokesman for Italian charity Emergency hospitals in Afghanistan, dozens of patients arrived for treatment, at least 10 DOA.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said one or more blasts targeted their equipment, blaming the US for wanting it destroyed no matter the human toll.
Citing an unnamed source at the time, Fox News reported that “hundreds” of ISIS jihadists remain near Kabul’s airport.
Their presence suggests more (made-in-the-USA) attacks to come.
Nothing is ever admitted by US/Western officials about use of ISIS and likeminded jihadists as imperial foot soldiers.
It includes Pentagon, CIA recruiting, funding, arming, training and directing their fighters — for carrying out missions as instructed.
Claiming hegemon USA won’t “be deterred by terrorists (sic),” the Biden regime left their use by US/Western dark forces in the Middle East, Central Asia and elsewhere unexplained.
Days earlier, a blast in northern Afghanistan killed around 100 worshipers, injuring dozens more.
A statement by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid blamed (US-supported) ISIS-K terrorists for what happened.
More of the same is highly likely ahead, US dirty hands orchestrating it.
Symbolic of an empire in decline, hegemon USA’s arrival in history’s dustbin was likely hastened by lost wars in Afghanistan, Syria and elsewhere.
Forever ones continuing by hot and other means are going nowhere.
Yet post-9/11 alone, the US poured multi-trillions of dollars down a black hole of waste, fraud and abuse while vital homeland needs go begging.
Along with the above, continued money printing madness with no end of it in prospect, as well as war on public health at home and abroad rages with diabolical aims in mind.
Is the above reality how the epitaph of America’s empire will read one day — or similar words of explanation?
Living by the sword is self-defeating, a lesson not learned by US policymakers.
Their rage to rule the world unchallenged, their imperial arrogance and unwillingness to change hastens hegemon USA’s eventual decline and fall like earlier empires.
