Peace, equity and justice according to the rule of law can only be achieved in the US/West by popular revolution against suffocating tyranny.
Nothing else can work. Power yields nothing without demands, especially when deeply corrupted under fantasy democracies hostile to the real thing.
On Friday, Britain’s High Court ruled for hegemon USA over truth-telling investigative journalism, for tyranny over justice, for Biden regime hardliners over truth and full disclosure journalism exponent Julian Assange.
Since forcefully dragged from Ecuador’s London embassy by UK police in April 2019 and imprisoned at the behest of Trump regime hardliners, Assange been emotionally and physically tortured in near-isolation behind bars.
He’s endured slow-motion assassination for the “crime” of truth-telling journalism as it should be.
Reversing a lower court ruling against extraditing him to the US — citing his mental status and risk of suicide to end his ordeal — Britain’s Supremes went the other way in defiance of the rule of law and what justice is all about.
At a Friday hearing, justice Timothy Holroyde upheld the US appeal, saying “(t)he court allows” it.
Setting the stage for extraditing Assange to the US, his defense team said it’ll contest the ruling by appeal.
Assange’s fiancee, Stella Moris, called it a “grave miscarriage of justice,” stressing that an appeal is coming “at the earliest possible moment,” adding:
“How can it be fair, how can it be right, how can it be possible, to extradite Julian to the very country which plotted to kill him” — that wants him silenced and dead?
Spurious charges against Assange — made up stuff — include the following:
Conspiracy to receive national defense information (sic)
Multiple counts of obtaining national defense information (sic)
Multiple counts of disclosure of national defense information (sic)
Conspiracy to commit computer intrusion (sic)
An accompanying DOJ statement falsely added:
“Assange conspired with (Chelsea) Manning…aid(ing) and abet(ing) her in obtaining classified information with reason to believe that the information was to be used to the injury of the US or the advantage of a foreign nation.”
The 18-count indictment and accompanying statement are bald-faced Big Lies against Assange, truth-telling journalism, the rule of law and what justice as it should be is all about.
Chelsea Manning is a courageous truth-telling whistleblower, Assange a courageous truth-telling investigative journalist.
Earlier he explained that WikiLeaks has the right “to publish newsworthy content,” adding:
“Consistent with the US Constitution, we publish material that we can confirm to be true.”
The above is what speech, media and academic freedoms are all about — what hegemon USA and Britain want abolished in favor of extrajudicial tyrannical rule.
If convicted on trumped up charges, Assange will never see the light of day again outside of draconian — likely supermax — prison confinement.
Responding to Friday’s extrajudicial ruling, Reporters Without Borders’ secretary general Christphe Deloire said the following:
“Julian Assange has been targeted for his contributions to journalism” as it should be.
“We defend this case because of its dangerous implications for the future of press freedom around the world.”
“It is time to put a stop to this more than decade-long persecution once and for all.”
“It is time to free Assange.”
“This decision is announced the day when the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to two journalists and when 111 governments are invited to the” Biden regime’s farcical summit for democracy, a notion hegemon USA tolerates nowhere, especially not at home.
A statement by the Brussels-based International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) said the following:
“The High Court in London unblocked the extradition of WikiLeaks founder and journalist Julian Assange from Britain to the US.”
“The IFJ strongly opposes this decision, and will support any effort Assange’s legal team may take to appeal the ruling.”
The organization — in vain — called on the Biden regime “to end years of politically motivated prosecution of Julian Assange by dropping charges against him.”
Following Friday’s ruling, the case will be remitted to Westminster Magistrates Court that earlier ruled against Assange’s extradition as explained above.
Russia slammed the police state ruling, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova saying the following:
“This shameful verdict in this political case against a journalist and public figure is another manifestation of the cannibalistic worldview of the Anglo-Saxon tandem.”
WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Kristinn Hrafnsson condemned the draconian ruling, saying:
“We are dealing here with a nation where individuals on the top level…at the CIA and the White House, contemplated kidnapping or killing Julian Assange.”
“The High Court in London just came to a decision – on UN Human Rights Day – that it is OK to extradite an individual to a country which contemplated killing that individual.”
“That is shameful in every respect.”
There’s no chance whatever for Assange to receive due process and judicial fairness in hegemon USA’s custody.
Trial proceedings if conducted will be rigged to convict before begun.
With apologies to marsupials not connected to extrajudicial rulings, the above is how kangaroo court justice operates, notably in the USA — a tyrannical police state, a fantasy democracy, never the real thing.
