Russia knows that engaging with the US diplomatically is a colossal waste of time.
It knows that security guarantees sought from Biden regime hardliners won’t be gotten — no matter what’s announced following upcoming talks in Geneva.
The question remains how Russia/US relations will play out ahead.
Will tough talk by Vladimir Putin, Sergey Lavrov and other Russian officials translate to tough actions with teeth?
Will Moscow no longer react passively to hegemon USA’s forever war by other means?
Will it respond as needed in the only language that both right wings of the US war party understand?
Much depends on its actions going forward.
Hegemon USA’s dirty hands all over days of violence in Kazakhstan left no doubt about no end to Washington’s forever war policy on nations free from its control — by hot and/or other means.
What’s gone on since January 2 ahead of Russia/US talks in Geneva left no doubt about hegemon USA’s contempt for peace, the rule of law and Moscow’s sought security guarantees.
Rapid deployment of peacekeepers by Russia and other Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states to counter and eliminate made-in-the-USA terrorism is a positive sign in how Moscow may henceforth deal with regional security threats and its own going forward.
Since established 30 years ago in February 1992, this is the first time that CSTO member states acted to protect what’s too precious to lose.
Rapid deployment suggests that Russian intelligence may have known in advance about USA-planned destabilization of Kazakhstan and prepared to respond before violence erupted.
Will Russia’s likely foreknowledge and rapid response alter US policy going forward?
Will the sun henceforth rise in the West and set in the East?
At a Friday briefing, interventionist Blinken left no doubt about no change in hegemon USA’s hardline policy toward Russia.
Repeating his customary litany of bald-faced Big Lies, he falsely accused Moscow of “aggressive actions (sic).”
Claiming what doesn’t exist “threat(ens) peace and security in Europe (sic),” he added:
The Biden regime is “prepared to respond forcefully to further Russian aggression (sic).”
Aggression defines longstanding US-dominated NATO policy against nonbelligerent nations threatening no one.
In full compliance with international law, the Russian Federation respects the sovereign rights of all nations.
At peace on the world stage, it threatens none.
Reinventing history, Blinken ignored the Obama/Biden regime’s coup d’etat against democratic Ukraine in 2014.
He lied claiming that Ukrainians “chose a democratic and European future for themselves (sic).”
He lied saying that “Russia responded by manufacturing a crisis and invading (sic).”
He lied claiming that Russia “occupie(s) Ukraine’s territory (sic).”
He lied saying that Moscow “orchestrated war in…eastern…Ukraine with proxies it leads, supplies and finances (sic).”
He lied calling Nazi-infested tyrannical rule in Ukraine “democratic (sic).”
He lied accusing Moscow of “work(ing) to undermine” what doesn’t exist in Ukraine.
He lied claiming that Russia “interfered in Ukraine’s politics and elections (sic).”
That it “blocked energy and commerce to intimidate its leaders and pressure its citizens (sic).
That it “used propaganda and disinformation to sow mistrust (sic).”
That it “launched cyberattacks on the country’s critical infrastructure (sic).”
He lied accusing Moscow of an “unprovoked buildup of military forces and equipment on Ukraine’s border” with intent to invade (sic).
Blinken and other Biden regime hardliners know that the above accusations, more of the same that followed, and related ones are bald-faced Big Lies.
Why now?
Why three days ahead of Russia/Biden regime security talks in Geneva?
Why did Blinken go out of his way to bash Russia with a litany of bald-faced Big Lies ahead of talks to begin on Monday?
Why did he add the following:
US-dominated “NATO never promised not to admit new members (sic).”
“They want to draw us into a debate about NATO rather than focus on the matter at hand, which is their aggression toward Ukraine (sic).”
“We won’t be diverted from that issue (sic).”
In Brussels, US-installed NATO puppet Stoltenberg recited lines scripted for him by his higher power in Washington, saying:
“We will not compromise on core principles, including the right for every nation to decide its own path, including what kind of security arrangements it wants to be a part of (sic).”
US-dominated NATO is all about offense — aggression — at a time when the only threats its member states face are invented, not real.
Remarks by Blinken above sent clear signals to Moscow that dominant Biden regime hardliners reject its sought security guarantees — with an exclamation point, adding:
“(P)art of (Vladimir Putin’s) playbook is to put out a list of absolutely non-starter demands (sic) and then claim that the other side is not engaging and then use that as somehow justification for aggressive action (sic).”
A state of undeclared US war on Russia exists with no end of it in prospect.
Security talks beginning on Monday with follow-up ones planned won’t change a thing.
The ball is in Russia’s court.
How will it respond going forward?
Will toughness define its policies and actions in dealings with US-dominated NATO ahead?
Or will tough talk be belied by passivity that’s little or no different than its outreach to the West for past 30 years?
I’m modestly encouraged to believe that the former, not the latter, will define Russia’s relations with the US-dominated West ahead.
In the interest of world peace and stability, it’s crucial that things play out this way — especially by Sino/Russian unity on this vital issue.
The proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
