Freedom v. Tyranny in Canada: Part II

Canadian-style democracy exists for its privileged class alone.

As in the US and throughout the West, democracy as it should be is pure fantasy.

Governance of, by and for all Canadians equitably — according to the rule of law — is prohibited.

Draconian Trudeau regime actions officially abolished the rule of law.

Police state rule replaced it.

In response to invoking the Emergencies Act by the Trudeau regime — when no emergency exists — the Canadian Civil Liberties Association challenged the draconian move as follows, saying:

The action taken “has not met the threshold necessary to” suspend civil liberties as affirmed by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

“This law creates a high and clear standard for good reason.”

It “allows government to bypass ordinary democratic processes.” 

“This standard has not been met.”

“The Emergencies Act can only be invoked, according to its own terms” as follows:

“(W)hen a situation ‘seriously endangers the lives, health or safety of Canadians and is of such proportions or nature as to exceed the capacity or authority of a province to deal with it…’ ” 

“(O)r (when events) ‘seriously threatens the (government’s) ability…to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada.’ ” 

“(O)r when the situation ‘cannot be effectively dealt with under any other law of Canada.’ ”

“The Emergencies Act is there to address these kinds of extreme threats to Canada, not to protect the economy.”

“Governments regularly deal with difficult situations, and do so using powers granted to them by democratically elected representatives.” 

“Emergency legislation should not be normalized.” 

It threatens” the rule of law by circumventing its letter and spirit.

The Trudeau regime circumvented the rule of law to enforce health and freedom-destroying mandates.

Tyrannical rule is the new abnormal in Canada — a nation unsafe and unfit to live in as long as draconian harshness persists.

According to the WSJ on Wednesday, Ottawa police warned Freedom Convoy truckers in the city to halt their liberating struggle or face arrest and criminal charges — a statement saying the following:

“(Y)ou will face severe penalties if you do not cease further unlawful activity (sic) and remove your vehicle and/or property immediately from all unlawful protest sites (sic).” 

“You may be arrested and charged with criminal offenses including but not limited to mischief, and potentially charged with a variety of other non-criminal offenses.”

“Your vehicle and property may be seized or removed.”

“Your driver’s license may be suspended or cancelled.”

“CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration) certificates may be suspended or cancelled.”

“Your personal or business bank accounts, including virtual currency, may be subject to examination and restriction.”

The above is code language for intent to initiate grand theft.

“If you bring a minor (a person under 18) with you to an unlawful protest site (sic), you may be charged and fined up to $5,000 and/or potentially spend up to five years in prison.”

“Those who are delivering fuel and other supplies to those taking part in the unlawful demonstration can be charged.”

“Persons traveling to any other unlawful protest sites to participate in or support the unlawful demonstration can be charged.”

“Be aware that legislation now prohibits interference with any critical infrastructure including 400-series highways, railways, airports and international border crossings.”

The above threats reflect what tyrannical police state rule is all about.

The Trudeau regime’s legitimacy no longer exists.

Staying the course against what no one should tolerate is the only option.

What’s going on adversely affects the vast majority of Canadians.

Resisting tyranny is a universal right.

In America’s Declaration of Independence, Jefferson declared:

“(W)henever any form of government becomes destructive (of life and liberty), it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government.”

“Resistance to tyranny” is fundamental.

MLK stressed that an individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for law.”

“I am convinced that noncooperation with evil is as much a moral obligation as is cooperation with good.” 

Passivity is no option in the face of injustice.

JFK called “tyranny, poverty, disease and war…the common enemies” of freedom-loving people everywhere.

Collective defiance against injustice  is the only chance for constructive change.

People power makes it possible.

Now is the time for Canadian freedom fighters and others like them elsewhere to remain steadfast until draconian mandates from hell no longer exist.
