Days after Putin’s lengthy discussion of reality in Donbass and Ukraine, he commented further after authorizing strikes on Kiev’s military infrastructure to stop its US-orchestrated and directed aggression on Donbass.
He began by explaining what he called “necessary” to address reality along the contact line between Donbass and Ukraine against the backdrop of US-dominated NATO’s flagrant breach of the Founding Act by expanding menacingly near Russia’s borders.
Throughout Russian Federation history, Moscow’s diplomatic outreach to the US/West regarding “principles of equal and indivisible security in Europe” proved fruitless, Putin explained.
Following dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, hegemon USA-dominated NATO took advantage of conditions by exploiting the Russian Federation and its people.
Developments over the past three decades created unacceptable conditions today.
Disturbing reality goes way beyond East/West relations.
It affects “the entire system of international relations” at a time when US-dominated NATO is menacingly pushing things toward setting central Europe ablaze or something worse.
After Soviet Russia dissolved, the Clinton crime family pursued preemptive wars over pursuit of peace and stability in Europe, the Middle East and elsewhere.
US new millennium wars of aggression followed the mother of all state-sponsored 9/11 false flag attacks to that time.
Hegemon USA-dominated NATO smashed one invented enemy state after another — massacring millions of defense civilians.
Putin explained the reality of US-led aggression, mincing no words setting the record straight, adding:
Russia was deceived and betrayed.
The US-dominated West “played us,” he said.
“This type of con-artist behavior is contrary not only to the principles of international relations but also and above all to the generally accepted norms of morality…ethics” and the rule of law.
“Where is justice and truth here?”
“Just lies and hypocrisy all around.”
Hegemon USA, its NATO vassal states, Western think tanks, and MSM press agents comprise a virtual Noah’s Ark of war-making scam artists.
Putin called the “Western bloc” and its hangers-on a US-headquartered “empire of lies.”
It’s “reality,” he stressed.
Their dark forces “sought to destroy our traditional values and force on us their false values that would erode us, our people from within, the attitudes they have been aggressively imposing on their countries, attitudes that are directly leading to degradation and degeneration, because they are contrary to human nature.”
“This is not going to happen.”
“No one has ever succeeded in doing this.”
“Nor will they succeed now.”
Despite the US-led Western’s disturbing history of trying to exploit Russia and its people, Putin tried once again last December to engage with Washington diplomatically in pursuit of security guarantees all nations deserve.
The Biden regime refused to acknowledge or address them — proving once again the futility of engaging with hegemon USA diplomatically.
Its dominant dark forces and NATO counterparts reinvented nonbelligerent, nonthreatening Russia as an enemy.
Acting “with impunity,” their hostile to peace, stability, cooperative relations with Russia and other nations free from their control flagrantly breaches international law.
Emerging from the decades earlier Cold War politically, economically and militarily weak, Vladimir Putin rebuilt Russia to its current preeminence and powerful status on the world stage.
Its strength and freedom from US control is why hegemon USA-dominated NATO reinvented Russia as an enemy.
Putin minced no words stressing that “there should be no doubt for anyone that any potential aggressor will face defeat and ominous consequences should it directly attack our country.”
Russia is a preeminent peace and stability advocate.
It abhors war and wants it avoided.
If attacked preemptively, an aggressor will pay dearly for its actions.
Addressing the situation in Donbass, what’s going on followed the Obama/Biden regime’s February 2014 Maidan coup in Kiev.
“For eight years, for eight endless years we have been doing everything possible to settle the situation by peaceful political means. Everything was in vain,” Putin explained.
It’s because hegemon USA wants a permanent state of hot war along Russia’s border in pursuit of its diabolical aims.
After years of failed diplomatic outreach, Putin drew a line in the sand.
“It became impossible to tolerate” endless Kiev aggression on Donbass with no prospect for conflict resolution because Washington won’t accept it.
“We had to stop (Kiev’s aggression, its) atrocit(ies) (and) genocide” against millions of Donetsk and Lugansk civilians yearning to breathe free after years of war.
Putin added that US-dominated NATO regimes and Nazi-infested Ukraine “will never forgive the people of Crimea and Sevastopol for freely making a choice to reunite with Russia.”
“They will undoubtedly try to bring war to Crimea just as they have done in Donbass, to kill innocent people just as members of the punitive units of Ukrainian nationalists and Hitler’s accomplices did during the Great Patriotic War.”
“They have also openly laid claim to several other Russian regions.”
Based on the historical record and what’s known about US diabolical aims going forward, an East/West showdown was inevitable.
It was just “a matter of time,” Putin stressed.
The die is cast.
The only unknown is how far hegemon USA-dominated NATO intends to push things in pursuing the diabolical aims of their regimes against an invented enemy able to respond with infinitely greater toughness than nations the war-making alliance preemptively attacked before.
Russia’s only option is defending its borders, territorial integrity and fundamental rights under international law.
That’s why Putin acted boldly.
He acted in response to help sought by DPR and LPR leaders to counter Kiev’s aggression.
Russian strikes on Kiev’s military infrastructure fully comply with the UN Charter’s right of self-defense.
“The purpose of this operation is to protect people who, for eight years now, have been facing humiliation and genocide perpetrated by the Kiev regime.”
“To this end, we will seek to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, as well as bring to trial those who perpetrated numerous bloody crimes against civilians, including against citizens of the Russian Federation.”
“It is not our plan to occupy Ukrainian territory.”
“We do not intend to impose anything on anyone by force.”
“At the same time, we have been hearing an increasing number of statements coming from the West that there is no need any more to abide by the documents setting forth the outcomes of World War II, as signed by the totalitarian Soviet regime.”
“How can we respond to that?”
“Freedom guides our policy, the freedom to choose independently our future and the future of our children.”
“We believe that all the peoples living in today’s Ukraine, anyone who want to do this, must be able to enjoy this right to make a free choice.”
Putin also acted to defend and protect Russian security.
Make no mistake.
He’s on the right side of history.
UN Charter provisions and other international law support his special military operation to halt Kiev’s aggression.
Actions he’s taken aim to restore regional peace and stability by ending years of US-orchestrated and directed Kiev aggression with no end of it in prospect any other way.
