The Latest on Russia’s Liberating Campaign

Russia’s campaign since last Thursday to demilitarize and deNazify Ukraine is on the right side of history.

Here’s the latest on day four.

According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, Ukraine’s 302nd anti-aircraft missile regiment in Kharkov near the border of Donbass laid down its arms.

Over 470 Ukrainian military personnel surrendered.

Ukraine’s war machine sustained major body blows, including destruction of 223 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 28 aircraft, 39 multiple rocket launchers, 86 field artillery mounts and mortars, 143 units of special military vehicles, along with other weapons, munitions, equipment and other resources related to waging war.

After calling for negotiations with Russia, then about-facing, US-installed puppet Zelensky agreed to hold them — then about faced again.

Here’s the latest — subject to who knows what Kiev’s puppet may do next…depending what his master in Washington orders or allows.

On Sunday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported the following:

“In line with (a Moscow/Kiev) agreement, the Russian delegation consisting of representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry and other agencies, including the presidential administration, arrived in Belarus for talks with the Ukrainians.”

“We will be ready to start these talks in Gomel” — southeast of Minsk.

According to information reported by Belarus on Sunday:

“The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the arrival of the Russian delegation in Gomel for the negotiations with Ukraine, (according to the) Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Anatoly Glaz.”

On Sunday, Interfax quoted from Zelensky’s same-day video address, saying:

“If there had been no aggressive actions (sic) from your territory, we could have talked in Minsk.”

“At this point we’re saying: No Minsk. Other cities could be the venue for the meeting.”

Both Minsk and Gomel are in Belarus.

After its delegation arrived in the country, Kiev rejected talks once again, Peskov explained.

Its regime proposed Gomel as a location for talks.

At this time, they’re off but could be on again at any time.

Separately, Interfax reported significant advances by DPR and LPR freedom fighters to liberate territory illegally controlled by Kiev, saying:

“(P)enetrating Ukrainian defenses,” they advanced 52 km…“in the direction of Petrivske (village in Donbass), (a further) advance of 12 km.”

“Pavlopil and Pischevik (villlages) have been taken under control.”

Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov reported the above on Sunday, adding:

“The grouping of troops of the Lugansk People’s Republic with fire support from the Russian Armed Forces has carried out a successful offensive over the past 24 hours to establish control over the populated (villages) of Novoakhtyrka, Smolianinove, and Stanychno-Luhanske.”

On Saturday, Ukraine’s Nazi-infested Azov battalion “carried out strikes using Grad multiple-launch rocket systems on the residential quarters of the Sartana populated locality in a Mariupol and on School No. 8 of the city of Mariupol.”

“As a result of the attack, several residential houses have been destroyed, and there are fatalities among civilians.”

Note: As expected, MSM suppressed the above information in similar fashion to how they refused to explain nearly 8 years of Kiev atrocities against Donbass residents — in flagrant breach of international law.

As of Sunday, Russian forces  destroyed “975 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities, (including) 23 command and control facilities and communications centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, three radar posts, 31 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa air defense systems, 48 radar locators,” Konashenkov explained.

Full-scale hegemon USA-led Western war on Russia by other means now rages — revealing the ugly faces of their ruling regimes toward Moscow.

Multiple rounds of illegal sanctions were announced on Russia by US, EU and Canadian regimes.

The latest ones on Saturday include cutting off targeted Russian banks from the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) system to disconnect them from the global banking system.

The US, EU and Canada also intend launching what they called “a transatlantic task force” to identify and freeze assets of sanctioned entities and individuals with “close ties to the Russian government.”

On Saturday, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi slammed US-led Western sanctions war on Russia, saying:

They “have no basis in international law.”

The UN Security Council alone may legally impose them, not individual nations against others for any reasons.

Article 41 of the UN Charter states that the Security Council is empowered to decide what actions may be used to enforce international law — including “complete or partial interruption of economic relations and…severance of diplomatic relations,” other than use of military force.

When Article 41 steps don’t work, Article 42 authorizes Security Council members to “take such action by air, sea, or land forces as may be necessary to maintain or restore international peace and security” — by use of “demonstrations, blockade,” or military intervention.

The International Progress Organization called sanctions “an illegitimate form of collective punishment of the weakest and poorest members of society, the infants, the children, the chronically ill, and the elderly.”

Whenever imposed by the US and its Western vassal states throughout the post-WW II period, they failed to achieve their aims.

International affairs expert Robert Pape earlier explained that “sanctions fail (because) modern states are not fragile.”

Homeland needs and rights make nations “willing to endure considerable punishment rather than abandon” them.

Wang stressed that sanctions “not only fail to solve problems, but create news ones, resulting ‘lose-lose’ effects on the economy and interfering in the process of political settlement,” adding:

Russia has “legitimate” security concerns. They should be “properly addressed.”

Sanctions won’t deter its leadership from pursuing its legitimate interests.

Nor did they achieve US strategic aims against North Korea since the 1950s, Cuba for over 60 years, Iran for over 40 years, Venezuela throughout the new millennium, or other nations illegally targeted.

They never worked against Russia before and surely won’t now.
