Millions of people throughout the US/West confuse what they see on television or read in the papers with news.
MSM long ago abandoned journalism as it should be in favor of providing press agent services for ruling regimes where they’re located.
So the fabricated official narrative is featured exclusively on virtually all major domestic and geopolitical issues.
In its latest fake news edition, the self-styled newspaper of record NYT continued its daily drumbeat of managed news misinformation and disinformation on all things Russia and Ukraine.
The following rubbish falls short of bad fiction, falsely claiming:
“In their (nonexistent) summer campaign to drive Russian troops from the southern region of Kherson, Ukraine’s forces decimated Russian command centers and ammunition depots (sic).”
They “severed supply lines with precision strikes on key bridges (sic).”
The above and lots more like it is typical Times trash — what’s indisputably worlds apart from reality on the ground.
It combines ignorance, arrogance and contempt for journalism as it should be.
Earlier I explained that in 2005, Chicago’s famed City News Bureau closed after over 130 years of being a no-nonsense incubator boot camp for learning and practicing truth-telling journalism.
It was training for full and accurate reporting on all issues covered.
On December 7, 1941, a Bureau reporter heard an amateur radio operator say that “bombs (were) falling all over Honolulu” — at around 8 AM local time.
Explosions were heard in Chicago via radio waves.
The news was phoned in to an editor.
The Bureau was first to break news of Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.
A legendary Bureau principle said the following:
“It your mother tells you she loves you, check it out with two independent sources.”
Get it right before publishing.
Bureau standards were polar opposite how the Times and other MSM operate — fake news over the real thing their stock and trade.
Since Russia launched its liberating SMO on Feb. 24, Ukrainian troops have been consistently on their back foot.
No counteroffensive at any time successfully got out of the starting gate, no liberated territory regained.
Reports otherwise by the Times and other MSM turned truth on its head and trampled on it.
And this Times fake news:
Virtually defeated Ukrainian forces “slow(ed) the flow of Russian arms, equipment and troops into the (liberated Kherson) region (sic),” citing Kiev Big Lies.
What the Times falsely called “Russia’s precarious…untenable…position” is worlds apart from reality on the ground.
And this Times rubbish:
Claiming daily Russian strikes on Ukrainian troops kill and wound “a handful” ignored hundreds taken out of action daily.
And what the Times called “the slow pace of Ukraine’s efforts to retake Kherson” failed to explain that no pace exists with Russian forces in full control of the liberated region.
And this WSJ fake news, reinventing reality and doing a poor job of it, citing Ukrainian propaganda, saying:
“People are waiting for de-occupation (sic).”
“That’s precisely why we’re asking people to leave (sic).”
“There cannot be military operations in places where there are people (sic).”
Mass-slaughtering noncombatants is a US/NATO, Kiev speciality.
And this Journal trash:
“Kiev has been laying the groundwork for…its (nonexistent) major counteroffensive (sic).”
And this Journal fake news:
On Monday in Moscow, “Vladimir Putin sought to play down Russia’s (nonexistent) international isolation (sic).”
And nowhere throughout Donbass or in liberated Ukrainian areas are Russian forces “vulnerable to Ukrainian counterattacks” as Journal fake news falsely claimed.
And this WaPo rubbish, saying:
Since Russia relentlessly pummeled Ukrainian Nazis and conscript troops, buffoon-like puppet Zelensky, “bec(ame) an inspiring wartime leader (sic) and champion of his country (sic).”
Providing him and his Nazi-infested regime with press agent services, WaPo interviewed him — giving him a platform to lie and mass deceive readers.
Falsely claiming that when Russia’s SMO began, deeply corrupted Ukraine was able to hold its own, he ignored straight-talk by Russia’s lower house State Duma Speaker, Vyacheslav Volodin, explaining:
Bleeding billions of dollars monthly on a lost cause, along with what’s stolen, “Ukraine is bankrupt.”
Its “financial independence” no longer exists.
Without US/Western aid, things would collapse altogether.
Zelensky’s beginning to end remarks reinvented reality on the ground in similar fashion to his nightly propaganda addresses on state-controlled television.
Independent media were shut down and banned.
The regime imposed martial law.
Russian-speaking Ukrainian citizens were criminalized.
Tyranny is the law of the land, rights mandated by international law abolished.
Hegemon USA and its Western vassals use Nazi-infested Ukraine as a platform for perpetual proxy war on Russia.
The end game is unambiguous.
Ukraine as it was before the Obama/Biden regime’s 2014 coup no longer exists.
Donetsk and Lugansk broke away in April 2014 to form independent republics, most likely to join Russia ahead.
Predominantly Russian-speaking, liberated areas of eastern and southern Ukraine will either follow suit or become independent republics.
Free from tyrannical rule, the vast majority of their people want no part of going back.
What remains of Ukraine when Russia declares mission accomplished will be worlds apart different from when the Soviet Union dissolved in December 1991.
What follows ahead is cause for great concern.
If hegemon USA responds belligerently to Russia’s triumph over its central European imperial agenda, all bets are off.
